It took me forever, I know, but I finished it.
So, if I were to describe it in one word, it would be this: manly. Seriously. This is the manliest show you will ever see, with two of the manliest men ever to be even thought of. Kamina being the manliest, and Simon the second manliest. Seriously. Kamina is what all men should strive to be.
It's so well done, I cried at a few parts, laughed at all the appropriate parts, and sat there screaming "THIS IS EPIC!!!" in my head with every episode.
Seriously. This show LITERALLY gets MORE epic with EVERY EPISODE!!! No jokes. Watch it. You'll see. It just gets progressively more epic.
The ending is very conclusive, not ridiculous and open like most endings are. It wraps up the loose ends nicely, I think. ^_^
If I were to rate this show, on a scale of one to ten, I'd give it a gazijillion. Not possible? Well, throw out logic and do the impossible! That's how team Dai-Gurren rolls!
PARENTAL DISCLAIMERS:
Language is not horrible, but it's got a couple of words there once in a while.
Violence is, well, it's pretty violent. It's mostly mecha battling, so blood isn't overused like it is in some things. But there is blood. Up until about episode 8. I think that's the last time I saw actual blood. *laughs* After that it was seriously just mech fights. Freaking epic mech fights.
Sexual content? Well, no one does it. Yoko does dress in what is considered immodest clothing. Booty shorts and a bikini top with high boots. She get's another outfit later, but, I promise, it's no better. (Plus the schoolteacher uniform. But that one is pretty okay, modest wise. She doesn't look that good in it though. >< wink
OVERALL:
If you haven't watched it, YOU MUST WATCH IT!!! IT'S SO EFFING AMAZING I CANNOT EXPRESS. Understand?
