On a Halloween night, much like this one,
The family of Ravenwood were having some fun.
With relatives and in laws and candy galore,
They couldn't imagine what the night had in store.
Now enter a man called Mr. Jackdaw
A man with a crow that seemed never to caw.
The Ravenwoods knew him as a man to be trusted,
But what he asked of them had made them disgusted.
Of all of the women in all of the land
Mr. Jackdaw had asked for their daughter's hand.
As the story goes Mr. Ravenwood declined,
but Mr. Jackdaw had something sinister in mind.
He cursed the Ravenwoods with the spell he knew best,
He cursed the candy and he cursed the guests.
Now every Halloween when the trick-or-treaters are gone.
In Ravenwood Manor the light will turn on.
