Circus Monster (Non - Voca)
Chains. Wheels. Laughing, "Oohs" and "Aahs". Whips. Horse Whinnies. Metal. Wind. Talking.
All different sounds, what was going on? Kira shook her body and the chains rattled around her neck. She clawed at them. Being a wolf, it was uncomfortable and almost impossible to take off.
At the sound of rattling, the horseman cracked his whip, and immediately, Kira ceased attempting to pull the iron collar off.

A few more minutes of silence, and soon the carriage came to a halt. The cloth covering the iron cage swayed, and the cage began moving in choppy movements.
"The humans are carrying this thing..." Kira thought. Soon the cage jerked downward to a stop and the cloth was pulled back, flashing bright light in her face.
Strange scents and sounds hit her senses. As her eyesight adjusted, she realized she was in a bigger cage. Except, this one was stationary. There were cages to her right and in front of her. It was like some sort of jail house. Almost each cell held some strange animal. A giant yellow bird that looked capable of carrying a grown human on its back, a unicorn, a human-like creature with horns and a reptilian tail, a rabbit with what looked like fangs, you name it.
Kira, being a dark blue-black wolf with dragon wings, fit right in.
"H-hey... what's your name?" a small voice whispered from the cage in front.
"Kira. Who are you?" she growled.
A figure formed in the dim candle light. It was a small, white, nine-tailed fox.
"My name is Numini." she introduced. "How did you get here?"
That question shook Kira. Honestly, she didn't know the answer. All she could remember was she was in some forest... walking alone... she met a human, who seemed friendly... and then nothing. Amnesia must have occurred out of such an abrupt event.
"I have no idea. What about you?" maybe a story would spark her memory.
"I came from way up north, the colder lands. It was my first time out hunting, and I was supposed to bring back some food for my family, but I was taken before I could return..." her voice was shaky and wistful. Kira felt a small urge to cry. That reminded her slightly of family... what she saw were two pups and an adult, that looked like her... Nothing else, again.
"Well... where are we?"
"Honestly, I don't know." Numini said. "I got here just yesterday, and I've been in here ever since. Some of the animals get taken out through those doors over there. At that time, it gets really loud, like there's people outside. Then they come back in, tired, and sometimes even injured."
"Great," Kira thought. "I'm kidnapped, don't have any memory, and don't even know where I am? Lucky me."

~~~
Kira and Numini talked a bit more until one of the humans came in. He unlocked a cage further down the aisle; the one with that giant bird in it; and lead it down the corridor. As it left, you could hear laughter and and loud shouting. About a half an hour later, the bird was lead back in again. It did look exhausted, and it nearly collapsed as it was locked in the cage again.
The next move the human made was shocking. He began kicking the cages as he made his way down to Kira's. Instead of cowering as the other's did, she lay there and didn't move a muscle. Annoyed, the human kicked harder, and even threw a rock at her. She picked up her head and growled a challenge.
"Leave me alone, ungrateful beast!"
The human looked pleased. Instead of leaving, he unlocked the door, grabbed her by the chain, and yanked her out of the cage. She choked and coughed as she herself was lead out into a clearing. There were rows and rows of people, sitting, staring.
She was yanked out into the center.
"Fly, mutt" the human demanded. Sure, she wasn't human, but she knew awfully well what that meant.
Panicking, she quickly looked around. Any place to fly out? Nope. Any place to escape out of by foot? Nope. entrances were barred off, the ceiling a canopy of colorful fabric.
"I said fly!" she was shoved hard from behind and she flew forward a bit, and landed awkwardly on her chest. She quickly picked herself up and took off into the air. She scanned the clearing for any possible way out. None.
"Wait a minute. My teeth are sharp. I could just tear at the fabric." she thought. Immediately, she flew upward, bared her fangs, and was ready to chomp down on the flimsy cloth covering. As she neared the highest point in the tent, she was sent flying back. The spot she had collided with was pulsating with a blue aura, which gradually faded away into nothing. The impact on the ground was just as bad. Kira had the wind knocked out of her and she rolled over on her side, coughing and gasping for air. The dizziness in her head faded, and she regained thought. What was that?
It didn't matter. What did was that she wasn't escaping that way. And that she was getting laughed at. The irritable laugh of the two-legged creatures pierced her ears. Even after all that, she was yanked backward again, and dragged out of the clearing, out of sight, out of mind.
