The Journal of a Miss Chase

The cruel whispers of her classmates still rang in Nicole's ears like the faint ringing you would acquire in your ears when standing in a quiet room, unable to rid yourself of but not a particular nuisance. Nicole had grown accustomed to the cold glances and off-handed comments when she asked questions that pertained to the class or to the sake of being social. When she saw herself in the mirror, she did not think she was all that strange. Her uniform had been only slightly altered with the knee high striped socks and the feathered barrettes attached to her uniform's beret and she had been fairly popular in her last school. Then again, Nicole had lived in the city. Seattle, to be exact, but Virginia had to be different. There were accents, excessive casual racism, and it seemed that straying from the norm was not acceptable. Once or twice already, in the month she had been at school, Nicole had heard some of the students using her in reference to the Devil Himself.

At first, Nicole had found it all rather humorous but as time went on without anyone befriending her, she started to feel the effects of their cold shoulders. She faked being happy in their new home to her parents who had always wanted to return to their roots in the east but at night she would often cry herself to sleep in a tight, painful ball. There was no comfort to be found in this unusual Hell and she found herself receding into herself to seek comfort. It made school a bit easier though. Nicole's grades had never been better but that could also be due to the fact that her old class was at least a year ahead in most of the subjects. What hurt the most though was the walk home all by herself surrounded by the clusters of girls and boys who were giggling and talking away as if she were no more than a sad, dead tree on the side of the road. A mere detour to move themselves around without considering.

Today was no different and feeling the growing volume of the voices draw close Nicole lowered her head as if she were inferior and moved to the side to let them pass when she heard them stop and one of the girls giggled before tapping her on the shoulder. When she turned to look at the girl Nicole was startled by the bright colors. Pure, white teeth, blond, curled hair, and bright blue eyes. She felt her heart beat faster seeing such pure beauty and blushing slightly she averted her gaze. "Nikki, isn't it? If you wouldn't mind can we talk to you for a moment?" There was something awfully suspicious about the way the students were looking at her and though Nicole wanted to say no she found her lips forming an affirmative and she was immediately melted in with the group. The usual bustle and chatter warmed her considerably and she found herself jumping into conversations like before and laughing at the jokes. When their train stopped Nicole felt her new friends move behind her as if she were a stone jutting out in the middle of a river and they were all rushing past to get to better places. In front of her was a large warehouse. Windows were cracked or broken by neighborhood kids' stones and there was a mysterious humming come from deep inside. Nicole felt her palms began to sweat but before she could even turn towards the blond beauty, she was grasped by two of the bigger boys and though she thrashed and kicked and screamed she was thrown into the cement block and when the door shut she heard a sliding of metal. They had dead bolted her in.

The hours went by and after the first five minutes Nicole had given up on escape. Getting out through the windows was dangerous and crying out for help only gave them the satisfaction of hearing her pain. Still she sobbed for what seemed like an eternity and after drifting asleep she awoke to a pure night sky. The inky depths were unfathomable and as she stared through the brown, grimed glass Nicole noted the full moon. It still shone with it's usual brightness and feeling hurt by it's consistency, which contradicted her own life, she moved on. The warehouse seemed virtually cleaned out either by hobos or the previous owners but as she pushed around boxes and dragged her finger through the inch of dust across everything, a outline in the downstairs wall caught her eyes. Nicole was immediately entranced by the sight and looking around as if she was about to be found with her hand in the cookie jar she cautiously approached the door. The eerie silence in the building added in with her own adrenaline and fear made it seem like the door was a real creature, ready to bite at any moment. Her footsteps finally lead her to the door and standing before it she took a little breath before reaching forward with her fingers, sweeping off the dirt from side to side. A circular bump revealed a kind of handle and taking a moment of courage she rode it straight to her fingertips which pulled the door wide open. Wind that felt like a long kept breath of air swept over her making her clothes flutter and sway and squinting in the unusual gust she felt her heart drop as she encountered the shadows waiting at the bottom of the stairs and two pairs of glowing eyes that made her body pale and grow stiff with fear.

((I have other RPCs. We can do other ideas as well so if you like my writing style we can do something else as long as you have an idea. You do not have to write this much but I would appreciate some length and quality. Most of all though, I want creativity. Keep it interesting! If you are really lost you can be a demon who forces himself to be her companion so that they can fight some common enemy to the humans and demons or simply some kind of dark creature that finds her misery to be delightful.))
