We reach the top. Ada holds my right side and helps me up. Claire and Ada help me lay against a tree. Claire rulls down my shirt, forcing me to wince. I look down and I see how blood has stained most of my shirt. The blood is flowing, not nearing a stop.
Chris,"We have to get some sort of medicine...."
Claire replies, but I don;t really hear her. I stare off into the distance as my eyes start to shut. I've lost too much blood. Closing my eyes I hear Ada yell for me and someone grabs my left hand. Then, everything goes black.

My eyes slowly open. I see the sky. Looking around, I see that we're in some sort of field. I'm under the shade of a big tree. I don't have a shirt on, instead my shoulder is wrapped. My shoe is off and my foot is wrapped as well. To my left, I see Ada. She's holding my hand. Chris and Claire have a fire going and are cooking some kind of meat,"Ada..."
My voice is weaker and softer than I predicted. I guess the wounds really take a number on me. Between the blood loss and pain I shouldn't be suprised. At this point, I'm shocked I'm still alive.
Ada turns and a small smile lyes on her face,"How do you feel?"
"I'm fine."
Saying that, I know I blew it. I can't fake being strong and healthy at this point. The smile slowly goes away as she looks at my shoulder, then back to me,"Stop playing the strong guy act. Your a terrible liar....How much pain are you in?"
Women....,"I'm not really in pain. I'm just tired."
I can't tell her how much pain I'm in. It'll only make her feel worse, which brings me to another question. Why, again, does she care? She's never acted like this before.
She looks at me, then her hand, not the one holding my hand, goes to my shoulder. She lightly touches it, not where the wound actually is, but above. That small touch shoots pain throught my body and I wince. Great, I blew that too.
She frowns and brings her hand back.
