Nero charges at him as soon as I finish my sentence. Nero swings at him, but the doppleganger blocks with his sword. I put my guns away and grab my sword, I wint be able to hit him without hitting Nero a few times.
Nero and I take turns exchanging sword clashes with him. He's fast, but not as fast as we are. Realizing that, he vanishes. Coming up behind us, he hits a nerve in Nero's neck before any of us can move. Nero drops to his knees. Before I have time to react, the doppleganger has his sword against the back of Nero's neck. He smirks again,"Now, I ave no reason not to kill him right now. I'm here for the amulet. Your brother's is mine, now all I need is yours."
I look at him, then at Nero. The doppleganger is worn, cuts all over, filled with bruses. Nero has sweat running down his face, and I know I do too. Nero looks at me,"Don't do it. I'm not worth it."
The doppleganger looks down and punchs the back of Nero's head with so much force that Nero almost falls forward. I look at the doppleganger,"Don't touch him. I'll give it to you."
Nero tries to shake off the hit, but he's dizzy obviously. His head's bleeding now as well. I grab the amulet, taking it off, and realize that the doppleganger has something like Beowulf on his hands. That explains Nero's condition. I hold the amulet in my hand,"Get the sword away first."
The doppleganger looks at me with amuzement,"I'm not falling for that trick. Give me the amulet first."
I hesitate, then throw it to him. The doppleganger flexes, and I know he's going for Nero. I push Nero to the ground and take the hit. The doppleganger's sword cuts my stomach. I immediately grab my sword as he readies to hit me again. Simultaneously, we strike each other. His sword stabs my right chest/shoulder area. My sword pearces his heart,"Learn how to aim."
He looks at me in shock, then falls when I pull my sword out of him. I pull his sword out of my chest, then lose my balance. I've experienced pain before, but I usually recover. Not being able to, I know what Vergil went through.
I fell against a wall, falling on my left side, but I can feel my body falling forward. I can't stay up. Suddenly, I feel someone grab my arm. I open my eyes to see Nero. He looks shock and confused,"Just hold on. Do you think you can walk?"
"Yeah"
He helps me up, grabbing my right arm and left side. Once I'm up, he puts my left arm around him,"Lean on me."
