I cough up water as a hand slowly rises my head. I feel the water fall on my chest. I open my eyes, seeing that Chris is the one holding my head up. Claire, Sherry, Nero, and Ada are around me as well. Laying my head down, I see that Piers is still on the chair and Jake is now driving the boat. Chris smiles,"You scared us there for a minute."
"What happened?"
My voice is faded, I'm out of breath. Chris,"One of the zombies pulled you down when you tried to get on the boat. Then, others threw you into the boat. After that, they tossed you into the water. Jake jumped in to get you. Then, I gave you CPR. Don't worry, Ada did the mouth-to-mouth part."
He smiles and so do I,"Thank you, all of you."
Jake gives a wave and Ada and Chris nod. Piers,"How's your head?"
He's sounding better than he did earlier, but he's not back to himself yet.
"Pounding, but I'll be fine."
Chris looks at his hand, seeing the blood,"Sherry, take a look at his head."
He helps me sit up and she looks at it. Moving my hair, she hits a spot that makes me wince. It only adds to the headache I already have. Sherry,"Do we have anything to wrap it? He'll be fine, but he might have a concushion."
"I said I'm fine."
Piers,"I guess it's good I got shot."
He gives the extra wraps to Chris and he passes them to Sherry. She wraps my head, making me wince when she crosses over one spot on the right side of my head. Nero grabs my hand,"Sometimes, if you squeeze someone else's hand when you in pain, it makes the pain not as bad."
I can't help but smile, gripping his hand. I don't squeeze tight enough to hurt him, but just enough to acknowledge that I appreciate his act. My smile's soon cut off from the pain again. When she's done wrapping, I now have the biggest headache I've ever had and I'm dizzy.
