-Twenty six minutes later-
"I can't believe we made it almost halfway across the country in under four hours." Kai said as he scrambled his way out of the car, stretching his arms up into the air as he let out a mighty yawn. "It's hot as hell out here!" He was sure their skin felt like icicles to the touch.
Deciding not to answer to Kai this time, Ren moved around the car, shoving the keys into his pocket. "Listen, let's just get our passes first, we'll figure meeting areas and..." Ren didn't get to finish what he said as his three other partners took off down the parking lot, and into the main building to get their passes. Yes, they had traveled to an anime convention. Ren stared vacantly after them, dragging his feet slightly as he moved to the building himself to collect his pass.
Unfortunately, walking into the building, they learned their wait for a pass wasn't going to be a short one. The line nearly wrapped around the building twice, and Ren had to question why they began the line inside the building, instead of having it lead outside. All the same, he joined the three and their wait began.
After only two hours more of waiting, they collected their already paid for passes and clipped them to their persons, ready to go.
"If we're splitting up, Someone has to keep an eye on Hope." considering he was the youngest in the group.
"I want to go with Kouji!" Hope called out loudly.
"What? Come on! I don't want to be the babysitter."
"Too late!" Kai called out, already clear across the convention site, with no means of taking the young blond out of Koujis watch. Koujis head turned quickly to find Ren in hopes of sanctuary, but the brunette had taken off as well. Looks like he was stuck with the brat.
"Well, let's go." Kouji said with a grumpy look on his face, wandering off to the side to get to the dealers room. And Hope followed carefree, blue eyes wandering every which way. He sort of looked like a child at Christmas, gifts lining each wall, taking in so much to look at.
After a bit of meandering about, Kouji eventually stopped dead in the middle of a walkway, causing the shorter boy to walk straight into him. "Geez Kouji! warn a person before you decide to stop dead in your tracks!" Hope complained, backing up a step to look at the dark haired boy. "Kouji?" Hope questioned, eyes on him still. The younger one moved to walk around Koujis body, waving his hands in front of his face as best he could. "Kouji!"
"I have to talk to her" Kouji spoke up. Hope looked to him confusingly before Kouji placed a hand on the short boys head, pushing him to the side as he walked forward.
"talk to who? Kouji!" Hope called out. But Kouji had left him, heading straight towards a female with long, light brown hair. Her current outfit of choice? A Zelda, twilight princess costume.
Kouji approached the young lady, who was currently standing over a table, looking over the various shirts that were laid across it for sale. Slowly, he moved to lean against the table, one eyebrow arched and a small, collective smile spread over his face.
"Hello my fair maiden. You look like a vessel of the goddess herself." He spoke out, no doubt letting out some video game nerdom.
The females eyes flashed towards Koujis before she stood up straight. "Before you try flirting with someone at a convention, make sure you get their game right. I'm twilight princess Zelda, not Skyward sword. You're an embarrassment." And with that, the female turned away, joining a male at another table a short distance away who looked remarkably like her. Odd. She gave Kouji a look of slight disgust before turning away completely.
"You really have a way with the ladies" Hope said as he slowly walked up to Kouji, hands behind his back and a wide spread grin on his face. Koujis shoulders slumped slightly as he frowned.
"Shut up..."
