iruka~kakashi...kakashi...kakashi!
kakashi~y-yes?
iruka~slowly tell me what happened
kakashi~ann and I were play fighting, and and I guess I pushed her too hard. She hit her head against the coffee table and got knocked out. S-she isn't bleeding but I don't know what to do
iruka~is she still breathing?
Kakashi~...yes
iruka~carefully pick her up and take her to the hospital. Don't put any more more stress on her head either
kakashi~o-okay

some hours later, kakashi was called back to the hospital, and was told that she has a concussion and severe amnesia. The only thing she remembered was her name, but was allowed to go home since nothing else was wrong
kakashi~ann?
ann~yes?
kakashi~do you remember who I am?
ann~No...but I feel I should be mad at you
kakashi~that's a start. I'm kakashi sensei. And you're right to be mad at me
ann~what happened?
kakashi~before you passed out, we were play fighting, and I pushed you too hard and you hit your head pretty badly. You forgot a lot of things by what the doctors said
ann~okay...do I need to stay her any longer?
kakashi~No. They said you can go home since nothing else seems to be wrong
ann~okay...do you know where I live?
kakashi~yes. I'll walk you home

ann~i live out here? Why?
kakashi~you've never told anyone why. You also do just fine since you've been here so we try not to worry too much
ann~who's we?
kakashi~myself, iruka sensei, aniki and his sister, ravi
ann~oh...how long have I been living here?
kakashi~two years
he lead her inside and she looked around
kakashi~go walk around. You might not know where things are, but your muscles will remember
she nodded and walked around, then went upstairs. After a while she came down, and hid a bag on the staircase
ann~sensei?
kakashi~hm?
ann~is it...is it okay if I stay with you for a few days? Until I can get around by myself?
kakashi~of course. Go pack and we'll go. uh...we'll need to stop at iruka's though to tell him the situation
ann~okay
she grabbed her bag and they went

on their way to iruka's they stopped by at ichiraku's to get some ramen to go
teuchi~hello kakashi, ann!
kakashi~hello chef. Could we get 3 pork miso ramen to go?
teuchi~sure thing kakashi. Ann would you like to make some deliveries while I cook?
ann~me?
teuchi~what happened kakashi?
kakashi~amnesia
teuchi~oh that's sad to hear...don't about it ann, you'll remember soon enough
she nodded and soon got their bowls and headed for iruka's

over the next few years, ann never regained her memories, but remembered little things as she continued her normal routine. And soon enough, she became one of five on a team with kakashi and went ona mission to the mist. They were attacked by the demon brothers, meizu and gouzu, and then farther along by zabuza. But when ann attacked without a thought, he summoned more clones to restrain everyone and called off the mist

zabuza~ann, why would you attack me?
ann~you're an enemy ninja
she pounced at him again, but he stepped back out of her reach, then to the side froma kick, and the next few attacks as well before landing a punch on her that he expected her to avoid like when she used to live with him
zabuza~i'd ask who are you but your chakra's the same as my ann's chakra
kakashi~zabuza, why would you be so concerned of an enemy ninja attacking you?
zabuza~because-
ann had taken that as an opening to headbutt him in the stomach
zabuza~annaliesalayoshi!
ann~how do you know my full name?
zabuza~good, you still know your name. It's as if...
he pushed her down then went to kakashi punching him in the face
zabuza~what happened to ann? Why does she have amnesia?
ravi~what is she to you? Answer us first
zabuza~you'll find out when she remembers. Until then, the old man lives. I'm not going to have the chance of killing my kid
he unscrewed part of the hilt from his sword and tossed it to ann while he walked away
zabuza~find me when you remember
he summoned the mist then released his control on the water clones
ann~what was that about?...
kakashi~i'd like to ask you the same thing...but you don't know anything more than we do
naruto~but he said you were his kid...so did you feel like you know him?
ann~he was...familiar at best...but I don't know
kakashi stepped close to her
sakura~what's wrong?
kakashi~how well did you notice his chakra?
ann~i didn't really feel it...why?
kakashi~his chakra residue on the hilt is mixing with yours. It's almost hard to tell apart...so either their chakra is nartually similar to each other's, or they're close relatives
sasuke~he was also able to easily dodge your attacks ann. He moved long before you striked at him, as if he knew you'd do that
ann looked at the hilt then looked to where zabua had walked off from
ann~i...miss him...

later that night, after going to bed, ann began to toss and turn, clutching tight to the hilt. It wasn't until she screamed when she woke the others
sakura~what's wrong with ann?
ravi~some sort of nightmare I think
she came closer then got smacked away by the hand that held the hilt as kakashi came in
kakashi~i was really hoping she wouldn't have another night terror
as he walked towards her, she screamed again, and then someone crashed through the window. They looked into the corner, hearing ann whimper, and found her in zabuza's arms while he was comforting her and glaring at them
kakashi~it's alright zabuza, she'll wake up soon
ann~zabi...
they looked at her expectantly. Her eyes fluttered open, and was about to get up after pushing away from him, but sat back down when she saw the betrayed look in his eyes
zabuza~it's okay...you don't need to force yourself
he carried her back to bed, took the hilt, and walked back to the window
zabuza~sorry about the mess...
ann~wait zabi!
zabuza~just because you use my nickname doesn't mean you remembered
ann~don't leave me again!
She latched onto him from behind and cried
ann~don't leave me! Please zabi I don't want to be alone anymore
zabuza~i'm sorry ann. But you don't remember anything
ann~but I love you!
Zabuza~...i know...that should mean more than your memories, but I still want you to remember why
he gently pushed her arms down and kissed her head before leaving. Ann slowly slid to her knees
kakashi~how much do you remember?
ann~i was sent to the leaf to protect my family's name and to be protected from people who'd want to use me...i just lost my uncle again...
