wahmbulance Okay, just going to say this right now: I'M A FEMINIST. If you have a problem with that, then you can kindly ******** OFF. wahmbulance
I've been a feminist since I was little. I don't get why I should be treated differently because of a set of hormones and the equipment between my legs. I don't understand how, even though I was more physically capable than many kids my age, and I could literally throw them, I was expected to do "girl" pushups, and why the gym teacher had to call us "ladies" for negative motivation. When a boy kept trying to kiss me when I told him no, and I bit him, I didn't understand why I was the one that had to sit on the fireplace for an hour while the little twerp got to go outside and play with the others. And sex ed couldn't teach me what the ******** a clitoris was (funny story), but they could tell me that my sexuality was everything about me? And that my interests and behaviors evolved around that? Even with the ******** of gays at our school?
I did not understand why, even though I was known as one of the smartest girls in my school, my brother automatically had an advantage over me in math "because boys are good at math and girls are good at language". I didn't understand why it was so damn important for me, an 11 year old girl, to expect and accept being looked at by men as sexy if they saw some normal part of my body, like my underarms, or why my family found it so important that I either dressed like a nun or like a sexy little princess, rather than in the baggy, sometimes boyish clothes I preferred to wear for comfort. I hate that other girls hated me when I wasn't pretty enough, then hated me more when I was too pretty. I shouldn't have to choose between the categories of "whore" "virgin" and "invisible". And I resent that I was only considered of value to most men after I became "beautiful".
I cannot stand the fact that after years of searching, that my boyfriend got a job I applied for earlier than him, with a much more impressive resume, and I didn't even get an interview. And they were desperate. I don't think that women should be paid less for the same work, either. Those employers have no business up in our vaginas, when they will pay for viagra. People's sex lives are no one else's business, and everyone deserves equal protection from pregnancy and STDs, regardless of gender, color, or financial standing. Women are capable of making rational decisions in a difficult situation such as abortion, and need support, not ridicule. AND I SURE AS ******** SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PUT UP THE CREEPS I RUN INTO, MEN STEPPING INTO MY BUBBLE, AND HAVING TO TAKE SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS JUST TO GET AROUND TOWN.
Might I add, it's stupid to put some munchy a** pothead in jail, or give someone who downloaded a song life, AND THEN TURN AROUND AND LET RAPISTS OFF WITH NOTHING. And no. I don't care what they were wearing, or who was drinking or doing drugs. If you don't have permission to do the nasty, without fear, drugs, alcohol, or force, it's rape, and it's BAD. The rapist made the choice to do something bad. NOT the victim.
I think it's stupid to limit someone because of what's between their legs. You are who you ******** are. Boys should be able to babysit, be house husbands, show emotion, count on their partner to pull some of the weight (or not)...The point is, people are equal, but they are also individuals. Differences are not bad. Gays are okay. There's more genders/sexes than male and female (about as many as redheads, actually). Women can be maids or they can be queens, men can be bread winners or stay at home dads, it DOESN'T ******** MATTER, SO LONG AS THEY DID IT OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL AND RECEIVE EQUAL TREATMENT.
Call me whatever you want. Personally, my favorite insult is "feminazi", it accents your stupidity and insensitivity to the plights of victims of genocide. But be warned, I might just throw you in my Easy Bake Oven with my banana bread.
Late night rant over. For now.
