Standard Operating Procedure and Rules for Engagement.
These are the rules for the Imperious starship. Pay attention, anyone who breaks these rules will be subject to expulsion from the roleplay and their characters killed off in the most brutal way imaginable. And trust me, I've got one Hell of an imagination.
1. No Godmodding. This is an obvious one. I do not want to see people acting like God hopped up on fire and brimstone. That will not fly, you will be given a single warning and I will ask politely for you to edit your post to make it more appropriate. If you do not, your character will die and you will be expelled. If you believe someone is Godmodding, point me to the post. I'll determine whether this is the case or not.
2. No Autohitting. This is also an issue. I know we all hate losing and none of us want to lose our characters in a fight. But there are times when this is necessary. If you find yourself trying to "out roleplay" each other, I recommend you both either A) Talk it over and see who should win or B) roll dice to determine the outcome.
3. Don't kill character without permission. This means that you can't run around slaughtering everyone because you damned well feel like it. Your posts will be ignored if this is the case and you will be given a warning. Converse with your fellow roleplayer or roll dice to determine the outcome.
4. I am the leader of this roleplay. As such, I will do my best to adhere to these rules just as you do. I am not without flaws however and if I happen to make a mistake here or there be sure to tell me. I don't want you all to be perfect, but to try your hardest to be so. This doesn't mean I will be more lenient.
5. Literacy. Yes, we all make mistakes, but I please try to keep them to a reasonable minimum. I strongly suggest you all look over your posts once or twice over to make sure there aren't any. If you're not sure, run your post through a word processor. If you don't have one, use Chrome as it will catch at least the misspellings.
6. Post length: At least 10 sentences. I get that writer's block happens and this is the rule I'll be the most lenient about. This is not free reign to make short posts all over the place. If I see too many short posts from you I will kindly ask that you do your best to lengthen them.
7. This is science-fiction. Unfortunately there will not be any magic allowed because that belongs entirely to the fantasy-fiction section. There are certain augmentations that you can give your character. So while you can't control fire with your fingertips, you are much more resistant to the burn than average. Please keep it reasonable.
8. Have fun. We're here to enjoy ourselves. There's no need to be serious all the time in your posts, we're not like that in real life. If you want something ridiculous to happen then let it happen. I enjoy a good laugh here and there, we all do. In short, this doesn't have to be the most serious roleplay around. We're all human after all.
9. For the love of God, no cat people
10. Use whatever pictures work best for you. I'd prefer something a little more on the realistic side, but if you can't find one you like then anime pictures are acceptable.
11. Rules may be updated. When this happens they'll be in red bold text.
