Koopa sits on her front step, bored out of her mind, when she notices something walking along the bottom of the hill her home sat on. She tries to examine the figure in the darkness with only one thing on her mind.
"Food"
Within a few seconds, the cat was half way down the hill, stalking the creature. As she pounced from the tall grasses, a scream filled the night's air, and the person was pinned to the ground face down. 'Wait...I know that scream...' she thought to herself, flipping the person over.
She sighed and said with slight disappointment, "Damn it...hey Jei..."

A few moments later, Koopa was sitting a few meters away, speaking with Jei. She knew if she had gotten close, he'd run away, for you see, Jei had a serious case of ailurophobia. During their conversations, he'd tremble as they talked and even yelled when ever she got close. This brought about thoughts of how thier freindship lasted so long.
This time, she thought she'd make him feel more comfortable, but sealing away her cat features and temporarily morphing into a human. Unfortunately, instead of putting his fears to rest, this only caused him to ask questions, which led to him realising she was a demon. As she had feared, he ran off. Worried about her friend, she followed him through the forest paths until she eventually lost him.

After looking around for what seemed like hours, the search was called off. The walk home wasn't exactly a plesant one though. It brought her through a small, but hostile village. Evidentally, her kind weren't welcomed. Wanting to avoid confrontation, she headed toward the entrance again, but was denied a quiet exit by mobbing town folk.

Out of pure fustration she began to set fire to everything around her. Her eyes matched her red hair and she let out a roar that made the ground shake. Before she was done, just about everything within a mile's radius was burned and destroyed. Her eyes were green again and her horns had disappeared. She fell to the ground on her hands and knees, trying to get her breath.

After she got herself together, she headed home only to encounter three wolves that stood between her and her home.
She stared at the wolves, with a tired, yet angry look on her face.

"This is the last thing I need right now..."

As they moved in, she took a deep breath and tried to blow flames, but not even smoke came out. 'What the hell?!', she thought, but didn't have time to think about what went wrong.
The wolves had stood onto thier hind legs and began to attack. She dodged as best as she could, recieving a few scars on her arms and back and darted between them. Even in human form, she was still quite fast and would be able to out run them, but a fourth one had cut her off. Koopa ran straight into him and fell backwards onto the ground. She glared up at it but her anger dissappeared in the eyes of the wolf. They glowed an eerie yellow.
"These are not ordinary gaia wolves..."
Before she could scramble to her feet, the other three surround her, blocking all escapes. She tried to concentrate and transform into a neko again, but for some reason, couldn't power up. They all dove at her at once, clawing and biting. Three of them were easily avoided but the last and largest managed to slash her across her stomach. Holding her wound she managed to roll away from them, but they only watched her. She looked down at her stomach and green foam had covered the slash marks.
"What the...poi...son...." Her vision become fuzzy and she stumbled around before dropping to her knees, then falling face first in the dirt. She looked up only to see the strange wolves moving toward her. The last thing she saw before blacking out was the largest wolf smiling devilishly and the haunting glow of his eyes.
