The Great Sage left Launde, knew her journey was going to be a long and strange one, she had learned more in her few weeks of adventure about the Great Sage and his Life and Times than Humankind had in the last several millennium nad it seemed as if every time she learned something new about him it was something explosively different than what was previously known about him and the past records indicated.
"Now, no use in being all flabbergasted, I have to head-out and save Mr. Tolouse and find that city, maybe both if Im lucky" she nodded to herself and headed off to the room she and Mr. Tolouse had rented from the spot where she had had the vision, to get everything together and go immediately.........................................................................................................................................................Meanwhile miles away, Mr. Tolouse stirred as he regained consciousness again.
Coming too, bouncing up and down as the great beast carried him and moved at amazing speed through the vegetation, pressing trees and small bushes to the side or in all thrashing them aside where they lay broken from its strong back handed paw like hands.
"WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME!!!!!!!!!!!" Mr. Tolouse shouted at him hoping the beast would answer him as it thrashed and pressed through a rugged patch of small closely growing birch trees.
He got no reply back, "WHERE ARE WE GO........" ummmmmmmppppppppphhhhhhhhhh he grunted as the air was knocked out of him as he finished the sentance....almost.
"Be quite Hu..man, I take to you Father" as Mr.Tolouse was so dizzy he couldnt breath at first but slowly his breathing came back, "To old city, ..place ..of Father's, Home" Mr. Tolouse took the beasts hint dn stayed quite from then on knowing if the creatues wanted he could break him in half like a child snaps a match-stick in half.
"Launde, Hurry find me quickly and be swift my Dear" he though to himself as the creature carrying him started to cross a river and oddly enough there was...............NO BRIDGE! Mr. Tolouse started to panic and squirm thinking the beast was going to kill him but he didnt say a word fearing it would kill him and be done with carrying him.
"No Hum..an I wo let you...drown...we pass ...on ore bridge under....weter" the beast attempted what must have been a smile as he stepped down to the edge of the water where it met the bank and then into the water as if he didnt care he would sink to the bottom immediately as heavy as he was.
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooo" Mr. Tolouse broke his silance as he though they both would sink to the bottom and drown in moments, the beast laughed!!!!!!!!!!!
"Silly Hu...man thes trick ar for children" as he bellowed laughter and his step had met solid ground without sinking more than perhaps a foot into the water at his feet just above his ankles but for Mr. Tolouse would have been maybe just below his knees, and the beast moved on making a bit slower progress across the water covered bridge, Mr. Tolouse bobbing once again on his should bound up in his arm ....being silent........ hoping to be saved soonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
Mr.Tolouse started to realize that along the path the creature was taking there seemed to be some large spires, made of stone but it was very very old stone, some of it so old it had crumbed to small piles of boulders some in better shape still had their points on the tops, and even her as they crossed the underwater bridge in the water the very very tops of several spires still poked and bobbed with the waves becoming visible at the surface of the water as they moved by.
"The city the beast spoke of must be growing near there are more and more of these spires along the path" looking as best as he could ahead in his present position, he could barely make out what seemed to be a large hill or mound growing in from of them heading up and up almost a mountain, but it wasnt stone it was green......something was off about this place.
More coming soon!
