Mr. Tolouse was amazed and intrigued by Aluminum's story knowing it must have been an epic and long standing battle as what little of the place he could see before the last time he had blacked out looked to be nothing more than rubble and over turned flag-stone in all directions covered in water moss and creeping vines.

"Can I do anything for you? I know you must have been alone for such a long long time and you look as if you have been stuck in that one spot for all that time." Mr. Tolouse gently smiled offering kindness to her.

Aluminum, looking at him with her soft white eyes which where perhaps the only part of her which kept her original shine of new metal, they softened and her lips every so slightly managed to purse and become the smallest smile,..."Th..ank..You, onl..y one...thi..ng....you.........se..e .....t..he ....shin...in..g ....st...o..ne ...by ...th...e ...do...or?" her eyes moving from his to where the jail cell's door was locked tightly.

There was a small stone, a pendant with a chain attached to it laying at the very edge of the over built hedge, it did shine! brightly as the rays of the sun struck it from a much further away source, it gleamed and shone so brightly blue like the hottest fire, looking back to her eyes "You want me to get it for you?"

Her eyes once again softened and he knew she desired to have it, so he moved forward slowly easing up to it reaching out almost afraid to touch it for the intensity of its blue sparkling light as if it were the purest fire burning in the pendant instead of a gemstone.

Then summoning up his courage he touched it with the tip of his fingers and it was cool so cold as if it had been in the deepest darkest snow drifts yet it shone, he grasped it and slowly by the chain pulled it up and into his palm and carried back over to Aluminum her eyes looked over joyed, she was happy it seemed even in her present shape and circumstance, to be reunited with the pendant..."It must have amazing meaning to her and be very important" thought Mr. Tolouse.

'Where would you wish me to place it?" he said knowing she couldnt move on her own and knowing as well that having it this close to her already seemed to have changed her eyes the last bit of her that could move it seemed.

'My....H...and..s" and he nodded and gently placed the gemstone first in her one palm which was set in just the right way to hold it,.....he wondered thinking about the way her hand was positioned Did she do this so long ago knowing she would be like this and that if she had forced herself to stay in this position constantly one day she could once again hold the pendant in her hand?"....."What focus and concentration it must take to hold ones hand in the same position for hundred if not thousands of years!" he marveled at her strength of mind and fortitude. surprised eek

Mr. Tolouse being flustered a bit looked to her eyes and asked a question of Aluminum, "My betrothed has been given gifts of a few of your brothers and kin, may I yet gain a gift from you?"...........being embarrassed he basically blurted out "I am amazed by your focus ..your fortitude...your obedience to your Father...you are an amazing being" he blushed deeply he had not said anything nearly as provocative to Launde when he had declared his love for her as he had said to Aluminium just now.

Aluminium, was slient for a moment, and then........a whisper......then the whisper to a whistle and then to a slow grinding,,,,,, then the sound it was beauty it was the sounds of an old tune,,,,,,,,it must be long forgotten of men but she did remember it and in speaking it, singing it there at Mr. Tolouse's bent knees started to collect another small blue gleam, smaller but just a bright and shining like the deepest blue and the hottest fires, then slowly the song died and the whispering stopped and last there was a grinding of metal again.

"Th...is......I...do....f...or...y..ou.....a....g...ift....fo..r....yo..u.....a..nd...yo...ur.....Beloved" her eyes where bright nearly as bright as the stone,..."T..ake..i..t.....it..s.....y...ours" he reach down and gingered picked it up and then slowly placed it around his neck, reaching out he gave a gesture which was an old one which he knew once was used in the ancient days among friends, he clasped her hand gently and squeezed wrist to arm, and his wrist to hers.
