Power of Reading Legends
The ancient pages are turned.
Brown and partially burned.
The blue birds soar
as the yellow butterflies flutter.
The beautiful princess with hair as bold
and colorful as gold
sings with great gusto.
And presto!
The pegasus spreads its mighty wings
as the prince stares in awe at the amazing presence of two sacred beings.
The reader closes their eyes.
Inhaling the sweet and gentle smell of the wildflowers.
Feeling the refreshing and cool water as if they are running their fingers through it.
Ignoring the disapproval from the people around.
The reader does not cower.
Instead, they become one with the castle tower.
Even if people guffaw,
Even if people bawl,
The reader adores the fairy tales.
Beyond all the fallacy,
it is their fantasy.
