Seeing Double

It was morning but still dark. King Hidoru finished storming Tech Org's snow base. Mahine parts were everywhere. "I think this was a succesful battle General." said King Hidoru.
"Yes it was, we decimated them. I'm surprised this place was poorly defended." said the General. A soldier from within the base came with some news for the General. "Have you found Lord Bryan?"
"No sir, and I think you and the king should come see this."
"Bryan's not here?" asked the King.
"Come, there's a message for you." King Hidoru and the General were taken to a large room in the base which had a large monitor on the wall. The monitor turned on revealing a black sillouette of a mystrious man.
The sillouette spoke. "Ha ha ha ha ha, King Hidoru I'm surprised you took the bait. As you can see, Lord Bryan is not here at all. He's being held at a hidden base, along with your daughter!"
"My daughter? How?! Makihara!" asked the king.
"While you were busy attacking my decoy I had an army of robots attack your precious castle. Tasu is still there but your daughter is Mine!"
"How are we expected to believe you? This could just be a trick." asked the General. The monitor then switched to a view of Wolfess in a prison cell.
"As you can see the princess is well within our famous hospitality."
"What is it that you want?" asked King Hidoru.
"For now simply stay there. You can't really can't do anything anyways. Try to save one of your children, and I'll kill the other."
At daybreak Tasu regained consciousness in a prison cell in the castle. When he opened his eyes he saw Ravenne and Kairu sitting on the floor next to each other and Conren on his belly playing solitaire. Also, a robot was patroling outside the cell. "What's going on here?" asked Hidoru.
"Don't know dude, it's your castle." answered Conren.
"No, I mean what are you three doing here? And why is that flirt playing solitaire?!"
"I have to do something to pass the time."
"We're here to help." said Ravenne.
"Right, that worked out." said Tasu.
"Hey, I could've taken those robots down. If they hadn't used those coils..." said Kairu.
"Well you didn't. Your not prepared to fight these robots. None of you are."
"Oh like you did any better."
"For your information I was beaten by someone who... pretends to be you."
"Pretends to be me? Hey that means I beat you!"
"That doesn't count!"
"Hey guys, if you could let your ego's rest for a bit, I do have a plan to get out of here." Conren interrupted.
"Oh yeah? What is it?" asked Tasu.
"I'll get the bars opened, then we'll gang up on that robot. Maybe we can beat it."
"How will you get the bars opened?"
"Just give me a moment. I have a... skill." Conren waited for the robot to get into position. Then he threw a card which bounced off the robot and hit the control console next to the cell. The bars raised up and the four heroes got ready to fight. The robot turned and stared for a moment, then kept doing it's routine.
"That's strange, it's like it didn't see the bars open." said Ravenne.
"That's because they only see heat." said Tasu. "To it, the bars must be invisible. It must have the order to attack if we leave the cell."
"So what do we do now?" asked Conren.
"Hey I'm the leader here." said Kairu.
"Since when?" asked Ravenne.
"Yeah we never agreed on that." said Conren. "Besides it's Tasu's castle and Tasu's mission. He should be the leader."
"Conren's right, don't be so arrogant." said Ravenne.
Kairu sighed "I guess I'm outnumbered on this one."
"So what's your plan Tasu?" asked Ravenne.
"Well, off the top of my head, Conren will hit the spot on the robot where the back of the head and the neck meet. This will open the panels on his back."
"Can do." said Conren.
"Then 'bat-girl' here will fly in and start tampering with the wiring."
"Good, software is my specialty. I might be able to control it." said Ravenne. "'Bat-girl'? You're one to talk 'bat-boy'. My name is Ravenne and it's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too Ravenne. And Kairu, stay back. You'll get in the way."
"What?!" asked Kairu.
"Now, whenever your ready Conren." Conren waited for the robot to walk by the cell, then he threw his card right on the spot Tasu told him about. The panels opened and Ravenne flew in and tampered with the controls. The robot swung it's body wildly trying to resist Ravenne's control. The other three heroes rolled, ducked, and flipped to avoid the wild arms. Finally, Ravenne overrode the command protocols and took full control of the robot.
"Okay." said Tasu. "Now that that's over, let's see." Tasu went over to the next cell. "There's our weapons." Tasu opened the bars and took the chain, swords, and laptop from inside. "Now, if I know Makihara's thinking, Wolfess should be held at a different location."
"Who's Makihara?" asked Kairu."
"Lord Bob Makihara is one of Tech Org's commanding officers. We've had our share of trouble with him."
"So you're certain Wolfess isn't being held in this castle?" asked Ravenne.
"Yes, if she was here I would've sensed her."
"That's so sweet."
"Err." Tasu whispered. A black cat then appeared and started rubbing against Conren's feet.
"Who's the cute cat." asked Conren.
"Excuse me? Bartimaeus is not 'cute' he's a vicious animal." Bartimaeus purred as Conren petted him. "Anyways, we need to get out of here. The castle is lost follow me." The group sneaked through the castle taking down robots one by one. Ravenne shot them down with her new robot. Conren kept opening their panels while Kairu and Tasu sliced their insides.
When they came out of the castle they started walking away. "We should head towards my father. Then we'll figure out something." said Tasu. The group came across a snowmobile in their path.
"What luck!" said Conren.
"This is a little too convenient..." said Tasu.
"How observant of you, Prince Hidoru." Fake Kairu appeared from behind a tree.
"It's you. You're here to fight? Well come on!" said Tasu.
"Do you want to know where Wolfess is?"
"...What's the catch?"
"The only thing I care about is fighting Kairu. Let him stay here and I'll tell you Wolfess' location."
"Ha, your the fake Kairu huh? Couldn't make a name for yourself so you had to steal Mine?" asked Kairu.
"Don't talk about things you don't understand. Your very existence is a curse to me! I cannot rest until you no longer draw breath."
"Do you really think we'll just leave you alone with Kairu?" asked Tasu.
"If you want to see your sister you'd better." replied fake Kairu.
"It's okay, go save your sister. I'll deal with this copy cat. Besides, the snowmobile's a three-seater." said Kairu.
"Hmph, fine." said Tasu.
"Go Northwest of here and look for a snake-shaped rock. A cave is near there and you should find your sister there."
"If you're lying to me, I swear, I won't rest till you no longer draw breath." Tasu, Conren, and Ravenne got on the snowmobile. "Kairu, don't try to block his attacks. ALWAYS dodge. He uses electrical energy." Tasu drove off.
"That's strange, it almost sounded like he's concerned." said Kairu.
"He has good reason to be. Now prepare yourself!"
"Before we begin, what's the story with you?"
"Perhaps if you beat me, I'll tell you."
Kairu began by throwing energy blasts at fake Kairu. Fake Kairu threw a thunder ball which popped the energy blasts like bubbles and went straight to Kairu, he dodged. The thunder ball hit a three and tore it apart. Kairu flew into the air and came down with swords. Fake Kairu held his swords in an x shaped position and blocked the attack. Then he released his energy into his swords and electrocuted Kairu. Fake Kairu then kicked Kairu in the head and tossed him several feet. "Tasu forgot to mention that he shouldn't block my attacks either" said Kairu. Fake Kairu ran, ready to cleave Kairu. Kairu flew up in the air to avoid the hit. "You can't fly, can you?" Kairu taunted.
"Air, land, sea, it's all the same. You're going to die." Fake Kairu put his blades together and sent his energy upwards. The sky filled with ominous dark clouds. "Up in the air and holding metallic objects? Have you learned nothing about thunderstorms?" Lightning came crashing down in flashing bursts. Kairu desperately tried to avoid them but got struck several times. Kairu fell to the ground, burned and clothing ruined. "Now for the cu' de grace." Fake Kairu's entire body enveloped in electrical volts that shot out wildly. The lightning could be heard and seen even far away. "There's no escaping this move!" Kairu stood up, exhausted.
"I've only got one chance." Kairu flew forward with his two sword pointed straight at fake Kairu.
"Have you learned nothing?"
"I guess not." Kairu's swords clashed with Fake Kairu's. Kairu kept being burned but he pushed harder still until his swords slid by fake Kairu's and pierced both of his shoulders. Both Kairus were electrocuted in tremendous bolts. The electricity that surrounded fake Kairu disappeared in the heavens and the two Kairus laid on the ground motionless.
Back at the snowmobile the group were in wonderment. "That was some light show, I hope Kairu is okay." said Ravenne.
