today is the first day of the month and happens to be ash Wednesday; the first day of the lent season.

since lent season extends over my birthday, again, this year, I won't be giving up sweet treats. I found that each year that lent season landed over my birthday, I wasn't able to celebrate it the way I liked -with cake and ice cream!

in any case I hope that everyone else who is giving up something for lent this year is successful in their fast emotion_yatta

*edit* I've thought over it and have decided to cut out sweet treats after all. my skin needs some healing from all the candies I've been eating since October of last year sweatdrop
however this year, I'll allow my birthday to be a "cheat day" and have a little cake or ice cream to celebrate 3nodding
