What researchers have found is that people who display more Type A characteristics do have a higher risk of suffering from stress related illnesses, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol than their Type B counterparts. They are also more inclined to be heavy smokers and drinkers, probably in an attempt to numb the feelings of stress.
However, it is important to remember that you are not doomed! If you are teetering towards the Type A end of the scale, it just means that you have to develop some effective de-stressing techniques and be vigilant about not letting yourself become overwhelmed.

Time seems to go so slow as I walk through this universe with a few behind me. They never seem to talk to me, just stare at me. The chilling cold air of this strange space seems to go around my body. Suddenly I hear the yelling of a person behind me. It hurts, my world falls apart behind me as I look at the shattering universe around me. The once red swirling galaxies, turn ebony and I turn frozen cold. I look around, no one seems to help me. I cry out for help but the chillilng coldness seems to overwhelm by lungs. I feel like I'm going to die, as the words of that single person echoes through my ears. Suddenly I feel a warm blanket of peace surround myself and I look up. A mysterious person placed it there, who was he. Why was he helping me, I may never know. That mysterious man is gone, may I see him again I would comply. I would tell him my gratitude, but until that day I keep the blanket close to me when times get rough. For even though this chaotic mass in the universe seems safe, there are dangers that need to be fought and won.
