TOPIC: Vampirism - Part 1

Thanks to many purges, wars, tragedies and the like, especially in more obscure ages, such as the Medieval Ages, the Crusades, the Classical Age and the like, little is known truly about vampirism, and the vampirical curse. although many wrote about it, it is seen with mysticism and folklore, with much of it being disinformation and plain misconceptions about the subject. on this file, i'll compile a bit of the knowledge i've gathered so far about it, and trust me when i say this - i had almost three centuries to study. i'm fairly certain about everything you'll read here. some events i witnessed, or even triggered. some i took part of, and some i tried to avoid, but either failed or achieved my purpose. but still. here is what i've found so far.

Vampirism, is a state at which the subject ceases most of its more normal human functions, and enters in a state of altered existence. the transmission of this curse/virus, happens when an altered subject (the Vampire) bites a unaltered subject (Human). apparently, a vampire can select if it wants to either kill the attacked subject (hereby named prey), or create another vampire (this being also called breeding, or in some circles, passing the gift). most of the changes are physical, yet there are also emotional, mental, and behavioral changes.

one of the most notable examples is that when the victim is "turned", the body begins a maturation process nicknamed "The adolescence", which happens in the same fashion that happens to humans. but in also different ways, as well. the skin changes, since now the cells don't react to each other as they would normally, and since there is no pulse anymore, blood doesn't run, then there's no oxygen to the skin, then comes the pale color. then comes the hard part - body changes. on both male and female can happen that hair changes colors, the same for the irises. but each gender reacts differently, as it's supposed by biological factors.

Male Vampires have development of muscle, even past the first state of rigor mortis, meaning that one could get "toned" without effort. there's also an increase in strength, stamina, and lung capacity. also, apparently (and at least on my case), an increased development in... well, sexual apparatus. almost as if male vampires were made not only to hunt down other prey humans, but also to have intercourse, being with their prey or vampires.

Female vampires have the same muscular developments, becoming slender and agile, some even taller. even the shorter, stockier person can have significant changes in height, and it wouldn't look out of place - apparently the body can reorganize itself during these circumstances. they also have the forementioned changes in certain zones, such as, but not limiting to, increased bust size, hip size, thighs and butt sizes. again, this varies from specimen to specimen, though it's been noted to happen. but also, again, it is almost as if only vampires should mate with each other, with some other vampires i've came across during my studies claimed that having intercourse with humans can be quite "Boring" - the vast majority of my interviews said it.

Now, for the bodily functions. the body still processes waste, though at a much more slower pace, since the need for food and drink drops down to a minimum - if exists. because it changes to something else: blood. now, why exactly blood it is a mystery - My studies indicate that it's because of the plasma cells in the blood, and the mithocondrial cells within it. while the ones linked with the occult claim that the first vampire (still up to debate), claimed that the fountain of youth was merely a virgin which opened her heart to a lover so he could live forever. when he drank from her blood, she became stone, and he became the first vampire. still, as i mentioned, this is all up to debate. Vampires don't have the need for food or drink, and only feel the need when a good amount of blood has already been consumed (apparently the blood makes the body regain certain functions, to a lesser extent, but to working condition), and even when they do partake, they do in small amounts. the same applies to reproduction, to an extent, since vampire reproduction through intercourse is something i've never found in my studies. it is possible - though it was never reported. - L.C.
