Penden's Journal
Random quotes from RPs and other dorky things as I stumble upon them.
A serious question about writing
I wonder what peoples' thoughts are on using the same characters in different stories where the time line/events, setting, or even the genre are incompatible?

I know I've heard of published authors doing this before but I can't remember who. Does any one else know of authors who do that?

Well, to be honest, I've found it easy to edit some of the incorperated character's bio-history to some extent that it would allow then to exist within a given time/area/event. The funny thing is that you may even stem characters off of that character you "glued" in there.

Like, for instance, I've been adjusting my Android's Bio for a RP forum called Intervention. At the same time, I used the same change I did to that bio and made a character off of that. Now instead of one I managed to make another one for that character to interact with..I do see what you're saying.

Personaly, for me to really understand, you'd have to give more detail on the setting and the character(s) you're adding...
