"Someone mind telling me what the hell happened?!" I asked. Sensing something behind me, I spun around and threw a blast of iceshards at a slayer. "Nissa, why the hell didn't you stop him forty yards out?"

"My main AI was nearly obliterated in the blast," Nissa replied. "The blast was caused by Rose."

"Rose did this?" I asked, looking at Nissa.

"Yes," Nissa replied, explaining the details of the blast and the following events--especially what Lex had done to Shalimar.

"He...did...WHAT?!?!" I yelled, my eyes flashing.

"The male neko has run off," the silver haired woman said.

"Dragon, meet Xangord," Nogard said. "Xangord, Dragon."

Before I could reply, a salvage ship set down in my back yard. "Now what?!"

"Easy," Nissa said. "That's the Eureka Maru. Her crew are friends."

Exiting the ship was a blonde haired woman and a short blonde haired man. [+1] Glancing around, I saw that that the Mutant X crew had left--probably to go deal with a new mutant that just revealed itself--and that two men [+2]were standing on my front porch.

"Where's Shalimar, Wynn, and my guardians?" I asked, looking about.

"In the basement," Nissa said. "Andromeda [+3] is working on my mainframe and Trance [+4] is looking after the others."

Ignoring the rest, I headed towards my house intent on checking on my family--especially if there were Gwees about. When I reached the steps to my porch, neither of the two men moved. "Out of my way."

Saying nothing, the dark haired man straightend and crossed his arms over his chest to reveal he had bone blades sticking out of his forearms. The other man said, "May I ask who you are?"

"The owner of this house," I replied. "The mother of one of the girls in the basement and the adoptive mother of the girl in the basement. The animals that are running around down there, they are my guardians!"

"Well hello there," someone said behind me. Turning, I saw that the little blonde man was hitting on Nogard. "I'm Seamus Harper and you are the most beau--"

"Shut up if you want to live," Nogard growled.

Cracking a grin, I turned back to the man who had spoke and said, "I apologize for my sister."

"And I apologize for my engineer," the man said, turning to allow me to go inside. "I'm Dylan Hunt."

"Call me Dragon," I replied, tilting my head. "We will speak after I see to my family."
