The Thursday before Labor Day we got into groups for a scene. We agreed to meet on Labor Day, then we had time to rehearse in class on Tuesday. Well, on Labor Day, I was so filled with "obligations", to put it lightly, that I couldn't make it. As many times as I tried to call Sara Conklin's (the director) cell, it went straight to her voicemail. Unfortunately, I didn't have her home number, and I didn't even think of checking the phone book. My only mistake. On Tuesday I went into a seizure and couldn't go to school, so I missed that rehearsal, as well as one after school.

Naturally, there wasn't much I could do because we went up on Thursday. But all Wednesday and Thursday until we went up I was talking with someone in the group, trying to get them to tell me, or show me, everything they had. No one in would, so I ended up not doing anything. Sara (and I think Adrienne) went and bitched to Doc that I did nothing and still got the same grade, and of course, Doc yelled at me. She wouldn't hear my side of the story. I guess I made the mistake of thinking she actually gave a damn about me.

A couple of days after, the cast list for the musical came up. My closest friend, Milan, was almost guaranteed the lead, until Sara decided she didn't want to AD the show, she wanted to be in it. I'm surprised Doc actually made her audition before putting her as the lead. Milan's now stuck as a nameless character in the chorus. Basically, we both have reasons to hate her. I'm so sick of the people in this department, with the exception of Milan, two others, and a teacher. God I can't wait to get out of this school.
