my mom's keeping the clarinet for another month or two, as long as i practice the acoustic, and i do, but she's never aroud to "see me practice" coz she does way too much volunteer work, and so, duh, of course she's not gonna see me play this guitar... and whenever i hold this guitar, it's like holding on to the past, and i know i'll never get rid of this beautiful creation. my mom owned this guitar since the 70's, and she's been keeping it for 30 years. she played it in high school, but they never really taught them anything, they just sat outside and played random stuff. in so many ways, me and my mom are alike, i dont exactly like to admit that on most occasions, but in this case, its different. I joined the school band because of my mom. i felt like she would have loved that. plus, i was in fifth grade, so it was like "like father, like son" except with moms and daughters, you know? but anyway... she played alto saxaphone in high shcool, and a little bit of the clarinet and the guitar, so i thought i wanted to, too. i started playing alto sax in fifth grade in the school band, and i stuck to it. i love my saxophone VERY, VERY, VERY,very, very, very, very much. two of my bestest buddies are also in band. tasha played (notice: playED) the tenor sax, but she ended up playing the clarinet. she ORIGINALLY started out on the flute with t.c., but she... had... trouble... O_O and steph was in band for like, a month, on alto sax, like me, before we were really good friends, so it was akward. tasha and i were pretty good friends by then. we were all connected in a way in the beginning of fifth grade:
steph & tasha= best friends T.C. & me= best friends
T.C. started sitting by steph, and then steph invited tasha, t.c. and i to a sleepover, *and of course, tasha couldnt spend the night*, we bonded really fast... we were like, all spiritually friends forever, because it was unusual how fast we became friends. i think that we'll always stay together, no matter where we are. i just know it. its not like those temporary best friends everyone has when we all go to the same school, because its just this feeling that we all just... mesh together.... its so weird. but anyway, back to the band history. meh. skrew dat.
