I Lost

I lost him,
I lost my ex,
I lost my soul,
I lost my child’s soul,
I lost my heart,
I lost my mind,
I lost my money,
I lost my home,
I lost my health,
I lost my luck,
I lost my reason,
I lost my trust,
I lost a lot,
And though it all,
All I can think of,
Is wow,
I lost a lost of things,
To think,
I had them at one time,
That’s sad,
Cause now I don’t,
Why?
I’m not sure,
But I can say,
That I know,
Out of everything,
I lost.

Stubborn

I hold my ground,
My head held high,
My hair tied back,
My eyes shine brightly,
My blood falls,
As do my tears,
At my feet,
Is where you lie,
You killed yourself,
You couldn’t take it,
And from you,
I came,
I took your place,
Since you fell,
Your body gave out,
And died,
So I stand,
Above your grave,
I smile,
As I walk away,
I touch my heart,
That was my grave,
I broke out of it,
I wasn’t dead,
They tried to kill me,
But I’m back,
I’m stubborn.
