So much for meeting your friends again.

It wasnt the first time they had done this. Yours (or rather only your) plans were to meet them at the restaurant where you would later go to the mall. Of course, your friends all had boyfriends yet despite their malice, you remained single for most of your school-time.


Checking your watch for the hundredth time, you finally had to resolve. They had left you. You trusted them to accept you as one who just didnt fit in the relationship business, and they LEFT YOU. Sighing heavily, you slumped onto a bench and hunched with your chin resting on your palms. Thats when a movement stirred next to you, and you shot an indifferent glance sideways only to receive the same look back from a startling cute guy with sapphire eyes and sharp features.


You had to look at him again, and this time you stared at eachother for what seemed forever. His eyes reflected the helplessness that churned deep inside your own self, that fated loneliness that can only come from one who has been denied. . . as you had.

A smile.

::Are you waiting for someone?:: he asked, a note of embarrassment on his voice. You felt a pang in your stomach. Him? Talking to me?

::Well,:: You murmered.:: I was.:: He looked away and then back, this time with a slight twinkle in his eye. Your heart leapt.

::Well, as long as were here,:: he said glancing through the windows of the restaurant,:: would you like a coffee?::

This was it, you thought. Nothing could mean anything else than what was happening now. You felt a smile spread helplessly across your face. ::Sure, thatd be nice.:: His eyes brightened, and the combination of deep blue and loose black hair made him all the more irresistible. You both stood up and moved close together as you passed through the doors.
