Willow wondered the street, as one of the night peoples that lurked the streets when it came dark. She passed the bakery, smelling the sweet scents of freshly baked goods, like cupcakes and bread. She walked over to one of the city's oldest buildings. In the city of Galian it seemed that nothing was what it seemed, but in truth, everything was what it was, in Willow's eyes. Willlow walked over to a small opening to an alley-way. She slid through the small crack in between the buildings. She took a few steps, sideways, until the crack now turned into an opening. She walked over to a pile of newspapers and lay down. Slowly, she trailed off to sleep. Morning broke out, the sun slowly making its way to the sky. Willow awoke. The midnight's misty, shiverng cold, air hung through the morning. Willow made her way out of the little opening to the streets. People of all kinds walked on the sidewalks to who-knows-where. Paying no attention to Willow, they hurried on. Willow sat on the sidewalk, closest to the street. A tall, brown haired man walked by her, and looked at her with a look that could not be explained. "Kid,..." he started, "I..I-I mean begger, get off the streets. Or I am gonna report you to the Watch!" Willow, now wide-eyed, jumped up and ran. She ran until she could breathe no more. Well, she ran until she rammed into another man. "u-uh...Um, sorry sir...." Willow said to the man, looking down. "You in a hurry..." The man replied. "No sir, I have no where to get to, and no where to return to, and no home to be there for, and-" The man cut her off. "So you don't have a home,... Come, kid. I can give you everything you need, to live. Like food, water, and of course a home. Be my servant girl, and that will be that." With that said, Willow nodded her head and followed her new master home.
