Valux's eyes turned from a peaceful orange itno a deep red that showed his anger and sadness.

The ground was grey, the trees were blown over, and there were skeletons of what used to be perlious dragons. Valux shot a stream of blinding fire at the sky as he whirled around smelling the air.

"What is it?" asked Yoozepode, a little angry himself.

"I smell theives! I can smell the disgusting smell of those who entered my land and robbed it of its life and riches." Valux then kicked out his back legs and flicked Yoozepode off. "I'll be back." He said. And then he was gone, leaving Yoozepode on his own for the time being.

Yoozepode looked around. Something was not right, he could feel it. Yoozepode saw it a second before it happened. A black arrow narrowly missed Yoozepode's neck.

Yoozepode heard the person reload another shaft onto a bow. Yoozepode acted quickly, as his old teacher had shown him. Yoozepode drew his blade and in one swift motion, dodged the arrow, and went straight for the kill. Yoozepode's blade came crashing down on the bowman's neck and thudded in the ground, despise the fact it had just gone through one's flesh and bone. Yoozepode picked up the bow and quiver of arrows from the dead body.

Meanwhile...Valux shot through the sky in a blur as he sniffed out the theives. Valux was soon upon his goal, lashing out with his large claws. He swiped a thief down in one mighty blow, and turned two others into fleshy bags of broken bones as he thudded into them with his tail.

Valux shot fire at the theives tents, scattering them as they scambled to get out of their burning shelters. Then Valux fed the fire with blasts of wind from his mighty wings. The black dragon rushed into the chaos, shredding limbs with his aged teeth. Parts of the cowardous theifs were scattered everywhere, with not an ounce of life left in any of them.

Though Valux's teeth were bloodstained with revenge, he still had a affinity of hatred towards Lord Doxis the tyrant.
