during lunch zabuza got pretty irritated. it was raining outside and he hadn't seen ann since she got out of bed
zabuza~ann!!! get over here and eat!!! now!!!! where is she? it's raining outside so she couldn't have gone out training by herself....
he finished eating and put his plate in the sink and left his mask undone. he checked all the rooms to see if any were locked then went in if it wasn't. after a while of being stumped on the bed, he went outside in the rain. he looked around before jumping on the roof then a little higher and found ann lying there as if she was sleeping. zabuza stood over her head looking down at her. ann opened her eyes from not feeling the rain drops on her face
ann~zabi....?
zabuza~didn't you hear me calling? it's past lunch....
she rolled over in a kneelig position. he went down to one knee and put his hand on ann's cheek
zabuza~is something wrong? been a while since you acted like this kid
ann~mmmm.....been thinking a lot
zabuza~then some where along the way it just started to bother you? or even just started to think some bad thoughts?
ann~mmhmm....
zabuza~come on then
he picked her up and carried her down then under the small porch. he set ann down to take off his vest to hang it on a nail. he ruffled his hair to get it some what dry, with some of the water drops hitting ann, then he wrung out his shirt. he did the same with ann then carried her in heading for the bathroom. the two took a bath together then changed in new dry clothes without any promblems or arguements. after all that ann was sitting on zabuza's lap eating while he dried her hair more
ann~zabuza....?
zabuza~yeah? what is it?
ann~any reason you're only like this when i'm down?
zabuza~.....something i'd like to know myself....
ann looked up at him. he brought her chin up a little and kissed her forehead. ann smiled some and leand back on him some more. while she had her eyes closed zabuza took her hand with the chopsticks and ate some of her lunch
ann~that's mine
zabuza~i cooked it little brat
ann~zabi
zabuza~hm hm finish up k? then wash the dishes
ann~why do i have to wash the dishes???
zabuza~last one to eat
ann~that's not right
zabuza~when has things ever been right?
he chuckled and walked to the bed. ann finished up and washed the dishes then joined him
ann~zabi....
zabuza~nothing this time, just wants me to hold her i bet
he pulled her closer to himself in between his legs. she sat crossed legged and he crossed his legs ontop of hers then wrapped his arms around her resting hs head on hers
zabuza~feel better kid?
ann~ish..*yawn*
zabuza~go sleep...just sleep and i'll wake you when i need you...
ann~ok zabi....
she yawned once more and quickly fell sleep
zabuza~sweet little idiot....*sigh* i'm getting too connected with you. if this keeps up i won't be able to let you go when it's time...
he kissed her forehead again and unwrapped his arms and legs from her. he laid her down and tucked her in
zabuza~now what? it's raining, she keeps things in order even though i don't ask, and i already ate...*sigh*
he laid down and brushed ann's hair
zabuza~least she doesn't look like me now
he got under the sheets and fell asleep with an arm around her

that eavning while zabuza was cooking dinner ann rolled off the bed
zabuza~get up ann. ann get up and set the table if you can hear
ann~rrrrmmmm...ow...
zabuza turned the faucet on and summoned up a clone to help her up
ann~ifsh shoo can make a done...why wantsh shmee?
zabuza~cuz i can't do everything myself. either you set the table or try cooking yourself
ann~ok ok...
the clone went back to zabuza and he disspelled it in the sink as ann set the table. when he served ann sat in her chair head down
zabuza~you ok ann?
ann~sleepy....still sleepy...
zabuza~you can sleep again after dinner
ann~but i don't wanna eat....
zabuza~bring your plate over here. i'll feed you instead
ann~no
zabuza~come on ann. quit arguing
ann~make me...
zabuza~always gotta make it hard...
he got up and slipped her on his lap and started to feed her. afterwards he helped her get ready for bed and tucked her in
zabuza~you're welcome...
ann~thanks uncle...love you
zabuza~night
he brushed her hair behind her ear and when back to the table to eat
zabuza~cold now....no use complaining...
he finished eating his dinner and cleaned up quietly. he brushed his teeth and climbed into bed with ann
zabuza~i'm pretty sure this is the first time i heard her say i love you...it'll be hard to leave her now...i love you too ann...i love you too...
