I am only a teenager and I understand that I know almost nothing compared to so many. I have learned and understood so much already, that I can't even comprehend what I have yet to learn. I have barely scratched the surface of knowledge. I am ignorant, though I have not been given quite enough time yet to not be.
To me, a great accomplishment and my meaning in existence complies only to that I gain knowledge and understand everything that I possibly can from others' past experiences and mistakes. I want to go further into knowing that which no one else has before for the opportunity to have meaning in humanity. I believe that we only have a certain amount of time...we will not be aroungd forever, though our souls or spirits or whatever you want to call them exist in consciousness. We go into a time or world to learn and become of complete understanding...nirvana. Once nirvana is reached...wether tangible or not(though we cannot determine what is tangible or not except for what we interpret with our senses), there is no more reason for existence in the "real world". The energy created in the gaining of nirvana dissipates and scatters to be part of something else. Energy is never lost though. It is in a contant state of graceful chaos as it tranfers into something else all the time. When energy disappears from some place, it must come up somewhere else in the same system. For example, as I type this, energy is "lost" from my fingers, though the energy then appears again through the keys that I type. That energy is then "lost" when the key releases, but the energy reappears as electrical signals which then go to the computer screen which I then see and unerstand with energy from my mind interpreting. Things like this are so insignificant to us though, that the detail of the universe is inconceivable to completely comprehend.
Our minds haven't expanded to learning enough. We don't understand real human potential to create anything. The mind itself has the ability of understanding everything. But again, with perfect understanding, there is nothing more to do and therfore no reason for existence. Humanity thus will not exist once full use of the mind has been reached. The process will start over again with another species or form of energy.
The meaning of life, however, depends on what the person or conscious being has come into the world to understand. They have lessons and things they must understand in lifetimes that they choose to learn. It is a lot like the Matrix. It's not that we don't have choices or fate, but that we have already made the choices and we come into the world to understand those choices and learn. It's all about knowledge...
