Well i went out and bought a new game

La Purcelle Tactics

Its a game made by the creators if disgaea it features Prier and her younger Brother Culoette Orphans taken in by The church and Raised to become Demon Hunters.

Prier's goal is to become the top demon hunter so she can be chossen by the Goddess Poitreeneto become the maiden of light to fight the Dark Prince the fallen angels servent.

The battle system is simmular to that of Disgaea however when you 'Attack' enemies your brought into a 2d side battle screen and one turn of battle takes place (like in Bahamute lagoon only its with people around the enemy and not a set Party)

you now have dark portals that you can purify to create miricales or damage enemies PLUS if you pureify an enemy enough times they will join you after you beat them in battle. (They will be in the character gate with about half their max hp)

weapons and items are a lil limited to Hand weapons (Fists and claws) and staffs and guns. (I havent seens swords yet ^^" wink

Monsters can equip weapons and armor as well also you can equip 4 items in a mixture of weapons and armor (2-4 of each)

the game and story are interesting as well.

note most of the first chapter you see prier getting clobbered by the bible lol
