That seems to be the problem, doesn’t it?
I used to actively engage in conversations/debates on topics that were (could* be considered) controversial because I like to exchange ideas.
I stopped for a long time, because I didn’t feel I had a right to contradict another person’s beliefs.
The feeling wasn’t mutual.
It seems that whatever decision you make, and however accommodating you try to be; someone will find something upsetting about it.
That much is fine now.
I’ve realized that in trying to be more ‘open-minded’ I ultimately will accept that others viewpoints are different then my own. I realize this.
I find it hard to be considerate of other’s ideas however, when I don’t see the validity of their arguments.
Every other post is hypocritical and a double standard.
Either that or the author is severely miss-informed.
GD isn’t a discussion forum;
It’s a flame and run forum.
Why does no one back read anymore?
