*sigh* My first journal....which means more venting...yay! > smile
Ack, I think I've HAD IT with my family. Just 'cause I don't act like them...'cause I don't listen to Marvin Gaye or Al Green 24/7 that makes me "white-washed" in their eyes.
Can I help it if I like J-Pop and Rock?
My mother doesn't see or TRY to see anything from my point of view. She's the kind of mom that tries to morph you into what SHE wants you to be, whether you like it or not. She hates rock, and thinks it's "the devil." All she does is say pessimistic things to me.
"You're never gonna find a boyfriend if you dress like that." Umm, I dress fine, thank you. Just 'cause I'm not a "girly girl" doesn't mean guys won't like me.
"You're NOT White. Quit acting like it." EXCUSE ME?! Well, sorry for not being Little Miss Sha-nay-nay.
And THEN there's my stepdad. It's bad enough he's my stepdad. The b*****d thinks he knows EVERYTHING. Try to say he doesn't agree with, and he'll go out of his way to prove you wrong, and when he's donn all that bluffing, and he ends up being wrong, he a** is too stubborn to apologize. -_-
And THEN then there's my sibling. Two sisters, one brother. They don't respect me at all. Example: The living room is a mess.
Me: Hey, help me clean up.
Them: No. Why should we?
Me: Please? You have to or we'll all get in trouble. You know I can't do this by myself.
Them: You ain't my mama!
*sigh*
It's bad enough I have to deal with people's bullshit at school, but it's damn shame when you come home--TO YOUR FAMILY--and you're better off at school.
