1. Remember you have a journal. -- Once you realize you have one, you realize you have something to write in
2. Have friends -- If friends make comments you have more incentive to write a new entry
3. Have a theme -- Lot's of people use journals to complain about things. Others to make daily short stories. Others to make stupid seven point lists about how to do things.
4. Read other peoples journals. -- Other people are better writers then you. Steal their ideas and put your own twist on it.
5. Take a break -- That way you can come back refreshed with new ideas.
6. Filler material -- make something up if you can't think of something else to put in the empty spot.
