because i'm a big fan of Star Trek i may as well go over all the famous ships in the series ^_^

Name: USS Enterprise
Class: Constatution
Registry: NCC-1701
First apperance: Star Trek the origanal series
Notes: The only ship in the series who recived a refit along its time, Was distroyed in orbit of Planet 'Genisis' in Star trek 3 search for spock

Name: Enterprise 'Alpha'
Class: Constatution Refit
Regestry: NCC-1701-A
First apperance: Star Trek V the final Frontier
Note: Was orriganally to be given a different name but was changed to Enterprise, It was also sporting alot of new computer systems and was eventually decommissioned because of it.

Name: Enterprise 'Beta'
Class: Excelsior
Registry: NCC-1701-B
First Apperance: Star Trek Generations
Note: this was the ship Retired captain James T. Kirk dies abord dureing a rescue in the middle of its maiden voyage.

Name: Enterprise "C"
Class: Ambassador
First apperance: Star Trek TNG "Yesterday's Enterprise"
Note: It was this ship that finalized the Klingon Alliance with the federation by trying to defend a Klingon outpost from a Romulan attack. It was distroyed in the process.

Name: Enterprise "Delta"
Class: Galaxy
First apperance: Star Trek The Next Generation
Note: This ship was one of the origanal Galaxy class ships built in the shipyards orbiting Mars, Its also the only ship that features a Saucer seperation ability where both the saucer and stardrive sections can reconnect after seperateing. it was distroyed in Star Trek Generations and was the ship that carried the name Enterprise the longest.

First Apperance: Star Trek First Contact
Notes: the most advanced ship and one of the few true "Battleships" in the fleet. its also one of the fastest heavy crusers built by the federation.

Name: Defiant
Class: Defiant
Regestry: NX-74205
First apperance: Star Trek Deep Space 9
Notes: a small battleship built to help protect Planets, and space stations from enemy attack. it was brought in midway through DS9 and also has a Cloaking device from the romulans onboard.

Name: Voyager
Class: Intrepid
Regestry: NCC-74656
First apperance: Star Trek Voyager
Notes: was lost in the Delta Quadrent for several years.
