I just wanted to post this up here for people to see ^^ Sence I realized there may be some confusion to my definition of "magic" Sence I play D&D, my definitions are based on that universes descriptions. And I know many of you work off of different sourses.
Okay to start things off, Arcane magic.
Arcane magic is nothing natural, despite the fact that it flows through everything, the use of arcane magic, warps the laws of reality, creating a fireball out of thin air, or a "magic missle" which is a weak ball of pure arcane magic. Arcane magic, once again, isn't natural magic, Natural magic, such as the stuff druids us to control nature is one of many different types of magic.
For a good example, I'll use one of my own creations, Tetroga, a construct. Constructs can be made in many ways, some are created by using magic to pull together an element, such as rock, to create a golem. This golem would be earth type. Tetroga isn't an earth type though, depsite the fact that his body is made from minerals. His actual body, not the one visible to people, is made of pure arcane magic, a wild, uncontrolible maelstrom of magical force, which contains itself by forming a shell around itself, which becomes it's body for walking around.
In my mind at least there are three seperate catagories of magic, arcane, natural, and divine. Arcane: Pulls from the weave of magic wrapped around all things, including the various demensions. Natural: Draws solely on nature, using things like the spirits within plants and animals to use said powers. Divine: Draws from a god the user worships, gods in most cases, a god is thankful for someone worshiping it, and thus grants the person the ability to use divine type magic.
Most people would think there would be a demonic section here, but in my belief, demons don't have their own type of magic, they're just a race, and thus use one of the three I've stated, though they'd most likely use a type of arcane magic, sence demons don't generally worship gods. There are evil gods though, so using divine magic isn't past them.
