so last night i didn't finish any projects though i did work on the la one, which i was able to finish in ss when i was supposed to be passing in that project. so yeah. and mrs. bowmen was already hyperventilating when i gave it to her.......... it was kinda creepy........ stare . then i got to miss chorus to meet that poem guy. he was kinda cool. he slouched a little and looked like an exact replica of einstein, plus he was nice and had written over ten books of poems and stuff. but only four of us showed up (me, margret, nick d, and some girl i've absolutely never seen before in my life, but margret knew her so i knew i was just being oblivious as usual) plus that teacher dude from mea's or something. i don't know who he is.
he didn't really tell us much. just to think about all the senses, and to show, not tell. just the regular stuff. he made us do a couple of poems that didn't ryhme and stuff, and i'm like 'oh, s**t,' cuz i suck at poems. but i guess they turned out better since they didn't have to rhyme. i'm pretty good at showing, i think, from all the extra practice i get. so here's one where we had to pick a season and write about it. don't laugh, i know it's not good, and he only gave us like, five minutes. i'm just not a poem person like you guys..... and i really prefer the depressing poems to this stuff. here goes:
autumn.
wind whispers lightly in the ear, while
tossing fluttering wisps of coloured paper
into the immortal skies.
a dog barks obnoxiously at passerby,
short, with unexplainable bristly, chocolate hair.
insisting on throwing a fit
on anyone who comes close to master.
another cloud of misty smoke rises
from a warm mouth.
similar to the cotton drenched in blue,
it moves on quickly. mrgreen

ASK YOURSELF in the most silent hour of your night: must I write? Dig into yourself for a deep answer. And if this answer rings out in assent, if you meet this solemn question with a strong, simple "I must," then build your life in accordance with this necessity..." - Rainer Maria Rilke
