Ohayo gozaumasu! I, the Kiki of Martin County, am goung to start this off with a list of my favorite anime series

#1 - Amazing Nurse Nanako/Nanako Kaitai ShinshoUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Nanako Shichigusa is an apprentice nurse/maid who works at the hospital of her employer, the young Dr. Koyji Ogami. She's not very bright, is very clumsy, and the only redeeming qualities in her is her... er... upfront talents. She continually suffers the abuse of Dr. Ogami, mostly through his continual physical training of Nanako, not to mention threatening to make the poor girl the subject of his experiments. However, this training is essensial for the girl to survive an upcoming operation... one which is part of the secret of Nanako.

In the meantime, Dr. Ogami has some shady dealings going on as well. He's often called upon to do very secretive work involving extraterrestrial life, which has some connection between the United States and the Vatican. And some of those experiments somehow have poor Nanako in the middle of it. And yet, for all of the abuse she suffers, somehow Dr. Ogami has some affection for her... but what... and why?

#2 - Blood +/B L O O D +User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Blood+ is the TV series continuation of the story that started with Blood: The Last Vampire. The story continues the ongoing secret war between humanity and the immortal Vampiric monsters known as Chiropterans. These creatures are capable of disguising themselves as human beings in order to attack their victims.

The war has extended into modern times and the latest resistance force is a secret organization called "Red Shield," which is a group that dedicates itself to eradicating the Chiropteran threat.

Saya Otanashi is a seemingly normal young High School student living peacefully with her family. However, she has no memory of her past. In time, Saya will learn (the hard way) of her vital role in this secret war.

#3 - Battle of the Planets/Kagaku Ninja-Tai GatchamanUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
In the near future, the world is menaced by a criminal organization known only as the Galactor Syndicate. Led by Berg Katse, who answers to a mysterious entity known as Overlord X, Galactor's monster mechs threathen the International Science Organization's (ISO) plans to create a pollution-free energy source. To combat the menace of Galactor, Dr. Kozaburo Nambu decides that the time has come to bring in the ISO's secret weapon: five bird-garbed youths trained in the ways of the ninja and armed with the most remarkable weaponry science can produce. These five are the Science Ninja Team!

Led by Ken the Eagle (also known as Gatchaman), a bold leader type, the team includes Joe the Condor, a rebel out for revenge against Galactor, Jun the Swan, communications and demolitions expert, Keyop the Swallow, Jun's adopted kid brother and just as skilled as the others, and Ryu the Horned Owl, a brawny sort who not only is the pilot of the God Phoenix, he is also the only one of the five with living family.

Together, these five are the world's only hope against Galactor.

#4 - The Big-O/The Biggu-OuUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Paradigm City (nicknamed "The City of Amnesia" wink is literally a place without a past. 40 Years ago, an incident called simply "The Event" wiped out the memories of everyone in the city. Now, the people try to rebuild new lives in Paradigm, although many people still have a need and curiosity to know the past. However, the only remnant of the past lies with the Megadeuses, giant powerful robots that "choose" their master.

Roger Smith is a wealthy master negotiator, who does his job the best way he possibly can. He is also the pilot of a Megadeus known as "Big O," which he uses to protect Paradigm City when the job gets too big for him to handle. With his butler Norman Burg and a mysterious android named R. #5 - Bishoujo Senshi Seerah Muun/Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon
NOTE: The image is too big to fit

Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon is about a girl named Usagi (Serena) who soon meets a talking cat. At first she freaks out, and the cat gives her information that she is Sailor Moon. The cat (Luna) gives Usagi a transformation wand which will allow her to transform.

Soon, she learns she has to find other senshi (soliders) along with the princess of the moon. First she finds Ami Mizuno, a brainiac blue haired girl, who becomes Sailor Mecury.

And later, they find out who the princess really is... Usagi.

#6 - Blue Submarine No. 6/Ao No RokugoUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Blue Submarine No. 6 was practically the first anime to blend in 2D character animation with 3D environments complete with rich Dolby Digital Sound. In the near future, due to global warming, almost all Earth is underwater. The evil scientist Zorndyke has turned his back on humanity and has begun to attack mankind with an army of mutants at his disposal. Now the only force on the planet that can stop him is the Blue Fleet, the army of powerful submarines, including Blue 6.

One of Blue 6's officers, Mayumi Kino, is ordered to find Tetsu Hayami, a former member of the Blue Fleet and convince him to return to Blue 6. However, Hayami refuses since he's a member of a salvage team now. But, when Zorndyke attempts to attack the city, Hayami might be forced to go back to Blue 6 anyway.

#7 - Bobobo-bo Bo-boboUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Bobobo-Bobo-Bobo is the strangely freaky adventure of a man named Bobobo with a blonde fro and five-foot-long nose hair, which he can use as whips. He can also hear hair talking, and is fighting this big government that tries to make the whole world bald.

Beauty teams up with Bobobo after he saves her hair from being shaved, and mainly follows him as he beats up people shaving other's heads, turns into fruit, sits inside a large burger bun, turns into a tank, cross-dresses, and even has the king of nose hair (Bababa-Baba-Baba) come out his nose... which is really weird, and I personally think someone had a LOT of time on their hands when thinking up this story's plot.

#8 - Choujiku Yousai Macross/RobotechUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
"In the year 1999, high above Macross Island in the South Pacific, a phenominal event ocurred in the skies which altered the course of human history."

This quote is used in practically every Robotech Homepage out there, and for good reason. This statement sets the scene for the entire Robotech saga. In 1999, during a global civil war, a spaceship exited a space fold and crash landed on Earth. This crash put things into perspective for everyone on Earth. The entire civil war was called off as humanity explored, investigated, and rebuilt "The Visitor" as the ship was called early on. "The Visitor" was rebuilt and renamed the Super Dimensional Fortress 1, or the SDF-1. The SDF-1 was to be mankind's first line of defense against any alien invasion. The leaders of Earth felt, rightly so, that whoever built the ship would come looking for it and they might not be peaceful.

Ten years later the SDF-1 has been rebuilt and as it prepares to launch, a number of alien ships exit out of a space fold. These ships belong to the Zentraedi, an alien race bent on retaking the SDF1. Through an automated defense onboard the SDF1, mankind fires the first shot and destroys part of the attacking Zentraedi fleet. Battle quickly ensues and soon mankind is fighting a desperate war that they have little chance of winning...

#9 - Cowboy Bebop/Kaubooi BibappuUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
As mankind stumbled through the 21st century, it began to reach out for greener pastures. After a number of early disasters, Astral Gate technology was perfected. Finally able to realistically approach the speed of light, the asteroid belt and beyond came within reach, and a new era of frontier expansion began.

But just like in the Old West of the past, among the first to head out are the dregs of society: crooks, drug pushers, hackers, and so on. At the same time, however, there was also another type of person: one who roamed the ranges looking for whatever was there to take. Taking another page from the Old West, they called themselves Cowboys. The year is now 2071, and the Cowboys are out on the range.

Cowboy Bebop is the story of the Cowboy starship Bebop as it be-bops its way through the solar system, hunting heads and making do in the wild reaches of space where anything can happen. Inspired by the free-wheeling style of Minston's Play House, a 1940's Harlem nightclub where Jazz players dueled each other with no regard for the rules of the times, Cowboy Bebop literally swings its way from mood to mood and adventure to adventure. It is a wild ride where jokes fly as well as lead, pretty faces can be hidden behind an ugly mug, and help and harm can come where you least expect it.

#10 - Crayon Shin-chanUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Every once in awhile, an anime show comes along that's so strange that it defies explanation. This is one of them. Crayon Shin-chan is a popular long-running comedic series in Japan and focuses on the (mostly perverted) misadventures of a kid named Shinnosuke Nohara. However, much to the annoyance (and sometimes horror) of his parents, "Shin-chan" exhibits some of the most bizarrely perverted, rude and madcap behavior, always leaving disaster in his wake.

Much like animated comedies like South Park or Home Movies, part of the shows charm comes from it's simplistic art style. (Especially with its deceptively child-like appearance, much like South Park.) There is also no real storyline, most of Crayon Shin-chan is episodic. However, this series went on to being one of the biggest comedy hits in Japan and other countries as well. Watch out, because when Shin-chan is opens his mouth, all hell will break loose!

#11 - Crest of the Stars/Seikai No MonshouUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Based on a sci-fi novel series, Crest of the Stars (Seikai no Monsho) is the first installment in this sci-fi saga. The story follows Jinto, a young prince, whose world was taken over by the largest Empire in the Galaxy: The Abh. Jinto's father handed their world over to the Abh in exchange for a standing in the Abh Empire. As a result, Jinto became a prince and was shipped off for an Abh Education. Later he meets a princess of the Abh Empire, Lafiel, whom he quickly befriends despite her cold exterior. The Abh empire is plunged into war and the story continues from there...
