Today was the first day of zOMG being back online! Yaaay~ I really missed this game a lot. It's so cute and funny...
I've put on my old avi witch outfit for the occasion. It felt right, since that's how I played for a long time. I do like dressing up, but I get attached to my character designs and don't want to change them left and right. (Good thing we can save outfits nowadays, that wasn't a thing when Gaia was younger.)
I "awoke" in those ruins or whatever they are. The jungle thing next to the beach. When the game went down I'd been trying to push through and explore that area even though it's still way too difficult for me... story of my zOMG life, I die a lot, lol.
(It's not what people expect when they see me, but I'm pretty much a dumb tank who goes solo too much. Granted‚ in zOMG I'm not really good enough to be called a tank, but that's the role I've had in every other RPG!)
Well, I got out of there and went down to Barton and the fields and played some easy farming over there. There's a few badges related to low-level monsters that I don't have, so I worked on that a bit while collecting orbs. (I didn't know there was a badge progress page until someone linked it in the forums today! It's here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/quest/badge/ )
After a while I went back to the beach, which is as far as I really got before (I didn't beat it but had finished a few of the quests). I finished up my remaining "kill 20 so-and-so" quests that weren't so bad, and then decided to go down to the Zen Gardens to get started on the pink Fluff badge.
Who did I run right into there if not Tsuki! We crewed a bunch of times way back when. He wasn't busy and decided to join me in my brief fluff killing spree, we got some Taiko:s too. I got 2 musical notes, I don't think I ever finished that quest (I certainly didn't have any notes on me) so that's something to work on too.
I was getting bored with the Zen Gardens, so we moved on to the beach again. Tsuki's max CL is much higher (mine is 6.5) so he helped me defeat the sandcastle boss, although it took a few tries because he wanted to try normal mode. In the end we beat it on easy mode, and I was able to fight and didn't have to feel like I was just tagging along for the ride, lol. (I wish zOMG was nicer to solo players!)
Well, that was good and all, but as soon as I exited the boss room, my avi got stuck in some driftwood on the beach. I wasn't able to leave the screen. I figured it was about time to eat a late night snack anyway (and go to bed... except here I am...) so I logged out, and that's where I'll be tomorrow. Hopefully not quite as stuck...
Oh, and I also bought the "zOMG! TYSM" item for 99 cash, that I happened to have gathered up from the daily ad bonus over the past week. I haven't opened it yet since it seems like one of the items is broken / not properly released, so I'll wait until that's fixed. It feels nice that I was able to buy a celebratory item! IRL, I bought a bunch of snacks that I munched away at as I got back into the game, hehe.
I hope everyone had a great first day of zOMG!!
