Forgot again...
Ok, a quick update of the last five months. Finished school; and had a really fun time in Europe with the school band for two weeks. Took Chem 15 for another two weeks in summer school (For those who don't know, 15 courses are for people who are going from IB courses into regular. It's the second bit of chem 20 that I didn't learn in 10I). The next day I got back onto a plane and went to Beijing for a week and a half. And now I find myself in Hong Kong. Ok, now I can write about what I came on for.
Fangirls/fanboys.
Many people assume I'm some sort of fangirl, but I'm not. I was raised on the Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Hello Kitty/Pochacco of all asian kids (since I am Chinese). I've written some well-received comments about this topic, but I've noticed the immense amount of fangirls on gaia. It's always been an unspoken and spoken fact, but I didn't notice the vastness of this... disease... until I stumbled upon the cosplay forum.
It was like looking into the depths of hell.
I usually respect good cosplayers, who put much effort and time into their costumes and end up with some amazing styles, but that just seems to be lacking in Gaia. I have seen almost no good cosplayers on this site. All I have seen is disturbing daisy yellow wigs not fit for a rug, cotton-polyester blends, and enough badly sewn seams to cause a major costume problem, enough to rival Janet Jackson. Hmm. Just a comment to any fangirls/boys reading this (I highly doubt it). Stop Dressing Up Like Sailor Moon. It's old, tacky, and ridiculously hard. Of course, I've seen some really good ones online. But mostly they're 5+ years old, made in Japan, and made by experienced cosplayers. From what I've seen on gaia, none of them fill that criteria. A better idea is to go gothic, but I'm sure that group of people wouldn't enjoy the barrage. I hope that people will actually read real manga instead of just going with the flow. At least watch an anime other than inuyasha. Enough said. I'll continue on in a bit.

Ahaha, whoops....
Wow, I totally forgot about my journal for the last few months.... sweatdrop Gaia homes is fun~~, but 20,000 to upgrade?!! That's a lot of fishing this month!!! I've alread spent a good 4000 on my home, mostly on the bed, desk, drawer, chair, and flooring. The door and window weren't cheap either. This is going to be an expensive habit... -_-. It's awesome though, and I really like the graphics. Guess I'm gonna be more active this month! Hopefully my fishing score will go up; it's not that bad though, overall. My page time is fast eek 0.021-0.055 secs... that's insane for me... I guess it's because I'm on at 12:30 in the morning, hahaha. Well, time for me to go to my room and read. The night's still young, and I had a really good nap. Bye!

Ehehe, missed the 18th again
Sorry for missing the deadline again, but on the 18th I was in the airport waiting to go to mexico at 2am, and didn't get back until the 25th. And then I slept for the three days I was at home, since I don't sleep very well in hotels and stuff. I am currently in Vancouver on yet another trip, which luckily has easily accessible internet that is FREE! wahaha. Sadly, it lags like crap at any other time but near midnight... which is why i'm on, instead of sleeping. The christmas thing this year was sorta annoying, especially for a person like me, who has no time to run around the site all day if you have to pay at an internet cafe (which was what I was doing in mexico). I personally liked the 20 posts or whatever that they had on Halloween, but I can see how that can (and most likely was) abused through the bump posts. I'm glad the fishing exchange is open, but I wonder what items you can get. I guess I'll go searching after I finish this post. See you all next month, I hope! Amrai

My first entry....
Interesting. An online blog/journal for Gaia. What an interesting concept. Well, I might as well introduce myself for anyone who actually reads this, which is quite unlikely, actually. My name is Jenn (please call me Ammy. It makes my life easier) and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am currently 14 years of age and in my first year of high school (Grade 10). I enjoy manga, drawing, writing, and an assortment of strange things that I rarely get to do. If you would care to know, I am also a band geek of the tenor saxophone sort. Currently taking the pre-IB courses, i am killing myself, mostly due to my unrelenting arguments not to give up band. So far, I pretty much sound like some band dork you'd find pretty much anywhere. Ok. Time to go a little off. One of my strange habits is to pretty much turn off my subconcious mind. No, more like put into hibernation. To many people, this wouldn't be a problem, since many people only use their concious mind for the majority of the time, leaving the subconcious for things like breathing, or keeping your lungs moving. I, however, use my subconcious to think beyond what I'm doing. I usually have a very glazed expression when I leave my subconcious on, since I'm totally daydreaming about something else. A daydream is a good way of explaining it. While doing something boring like typing up a useless journal, my subconcious is actually thinking along the lines of a story I've been currently writing for fun. Hmm, my thoughts are merging. Not good. Anyways, this is one of my irregular activities. A few others might come up soon. But for now, it's already 11pm and I have to get up tomorrow and help shovel snow. Not to mention I still haven't done the dishes.
Until next time, Ammy (Amrai)
