My stories
A story written by me =D
Chapter 1
Read intro Below first! 3nodding
Blue eyes closed, dreaming. Wandering into imagination. Thoughts of family and friends tickle the lids, and offer a calm respite. Successes brush by offering thoughts to a
Gentle heart. Then in the distance the cannons shots fall into the ears. Breaking upon the walls of innocent happiness. Thorns grow on the dreams edge. Thoughts of the war come to her mind. Upon a white field two flags wave. One White christened with a golden arch, and crossed blades. Upon the other hill, black-flag with a red sphere, and thorns along the trim. Two sons each who chose a different Path, swords crossed, what was once wood now steel. White helm versus black helm, both born from hate of the other. Their eyes lock digging into each other hearts and memories. The realization comes to them, each hand looses on the sword. Yet their eyes watch as conditioning fights the soul and heart. Out of each helm wings comes forth. From the black helm black wings slope down in fierce angles, but noble in its own right, and it is matched by the white wings stretching down in smooth curves. Yet both their skins are smooth and white, pure and young. Then conditioning fails. They look at the field around them and the ground below them. Where they stand the cloud is torn by color. Half is dark, half is white. Yet where the two meets is gray. In this gray line is an understanding of both sides, and a compassion for both. Yet neither side adores the gray, and continues its fight with the other. Then the two brothers stood back to back looking at the other’s side. Thousands of soldiers line upon each side. White angel wings, and black devil wings from the other. From each Line a general steps out adorned in thick armor, and a gun on their right side. Each pistol is the same, black with a silver lining on its sides. Each general grabs his gun in unison. Two shots, one sound, time slows as each brother grabs the other’s hand. Neither one committing a crime, but each condemned. Their grips weaken. Each taking their last breath, the smell of rain filling the air, but their life is not done. Out of the gray a young girl comes up, she lays a gentle kiss upon each cheek. Life stirs within them, and they stand beside her. The general’s step forward, but silence swirls upon the battlefield. The three are gone in a flash.
A loud bell rings next to a white bed, pulling the Blue eyes from slumber. Opening with a flash. They look back and forth in confusion. A soft hand falls down, quieting the clock. Her breaths are hard and fearful. Sights of war still fresh upon her heart. She pulls her legs out from underneath the covers and lets them drift down beside the bed. She stands up her white nightgown flowing in the breeze. Her legs grudgingly carry her to the window, and she looks outside upon the white fields. White mountains formed out of cloud linger high above the plains. She lets out a calming sigh and whirls around to face her room. Simplistic in its small closet, bed, and window, it is all she needs. White and black adorns the room. The bed with white pillow, yet black bed sheet. Closet with black trim, but white walls around it. Black window. There is however two posters. On the front of one is a soldier in a black helm, with black wings. On the other is a soldier in a white helm, and white wings. Both posters read “ Join Now!” She goes to her closet and puts on the required female teen garments. White shirt and black pants. As well as Black gloves and white shoes, now she is officially legal. Her hand pushes open the door, revealing the long hallway. Rooms stretch upon both sides going on for at least a mile. She playfully jumps down the stairs and comes upon the door. Then like thunder a yell echo through the lower floor halls.
“ZOE!!!”
Zoe freezes, her blue eyes wide. She turns around only to be mauled up against the glass door.
She struggles to say “ What…. do you need Esta?”
Releasing from the death crush the girl turns her head and asks, “Have you decided? What path do you want?”
Zoe sighs, “No I haven’t, why do I need to?”
“Don’t be stupid, you know you have to eventually, you have a week left…or you’ll become an outcast! Besides I don’t want to have our friendship Torn if you do have to choose!”
“Don’t you think this all seems a little wrong? There is no difference in the sides.”
“Well then choose the Golden blades! I think I want to become A golden blade Medic? What about you? What do you want to be? Anything cool? A Medic? A”
“I have not put any thought into it!” Zoe says irritated.
“But…why not? This is the most important decision of your life!”
“Because, its pointless. I don’t want to go and just become another tool in this pointless conflict.”
“Why not?”
“How about this…you tell me when this war started. Tell me why it started. Why I should fight this war.”
Another voice joins in, “Because we have to end the tyranny of the black thorn.”
Chills went down Zoe’s spine; she turned and found herself face to face with a Gold Blade recruiter.
“ Even the darkness of their wings should show you that they are cruel and twisted. We are all the stands between them and enslaving all of you youth.”
“ Aren’t we enslaved already? You both raise us here, surrounded by both sides. Then when we turn 18 you force us to choose to become you, or them. Cant I just stay as I am?”
“ That is not how it works. When you are 18 a special force lies within you, the power to change your form to either the white guardians of this land, or the shadow plaque that falls upon it? Within a week you will have to choose. Or you will die. It is how we develop. You will choose to enter this room behind me. Inside will be myself, and the black thorn that will also try and get you to join. You will choose, and become one or the other. Then you will take on the appropriate uniform. Then you will be sent to a training center to be trained and conditioned for war.”
“But we wont all choose the same side. Won’t I have to fight the people I have grown up with?”
“This is war, they aren’t part of your life on the battlefield. They are only part of your death if let them.”
Then the recruiter turned and left.
“I really don’t have any choice do I?”
“Sure you do White or black, its as simple as that. Hey that rhymed!”
Esta turned and ran in the other direction. Zoe walked out of the building. Above her a large sign read –Youth Dormitory Center-. Large walls Came up around the building, and left a small courtyard in the front. In the corners were two observations tower’s, that could be climbed into and one could observe the surroundings. In the distance the black and white streaks showed the location of war. Cities in the distance came up like white towers, or black, but they were similar in construction. Both were home to someone. She bowed her head. Then the walls broke, and tears flooded from her blue eyes. The sights of her dreams came to be seen. She didn’t want to become a monster. She didn’t want to fight because of hate. Steps echoed behind her, she turned quickly around. Her eyes locked upon a devil imp, or Black thorn solider. The words of the gold blade recruiter came to her mind, and fear gripped her heart.
“What causes tears to flow from such beautiful blue eyes young maiden? He said softly. His black hair rested just below his ears, going behind two large black wings. His white skin almost seemed wrong, when put against the descriptions of hate from the recruiter.
“I don’t want to choose.”
“I wish you didn’t…”
She looked in surprise it seemed an odd response.
“Who…who are you I haven’t seen you around. Your too nice to be a recruiter.”
“Aye, I am not a recruiter. I take it you have seen that battle out there?”
“Yes. Horrible thing on the horizon.”
“Well. Im supposed to be out there. However I discovered that my brother was going to be in the fight. On the other side, and the will to fight and hate left me. I fled.”
“Soldiers aren’t supposed to be in the Youth garrison…”
The Man laughed, “So that’s what your calling it now? Little fond memories do I have of this place. And yes, I am not supposed to be in here. I was walking the path, alone. I was walking by the wall when a tear fell upon my head. I looked up to see you.” His eyes leaped open with compassion and energy, and a smile stretched across his face, “So I opened my wings and flew up here. Theses things aren’t just for show you know!”
Zoe smiled a bit looking into his kind eyes, “What is your name?”
“My designation is Ranged assault trooped F-17364. However when I was in the Youth garrison, it was Kyle.”
“You lose your name too!?”
“They don’t tell you much about this anymore do they?
“No they don’t…the suicide rate started jumping up. They keep a lot from us. They just tell us there will be a choice at 18.
“I take it you don’t want to choose either side?”
“Exactly, both sides seem…to pointlessly hate the other.”
“Hmm. I can’t place it but something seems special about you. Your different then I remember youth being when I was in here…”
“If anything is special its that I am broken…besides I cant change anything.”
“Not without pain you can’t. If you want to cause a change you will need to one day fight the very war you hate. Yet not on either side, and not against either side.”
Then a sound was heard as a blade was pulled from its sheathe. The Gold Blade recruiter leaped from the top of the Dorm. Kyle pulled his blade and brought it to match. Zoe’s eyes flew back and forth with fear. She felt defenseless. The kindness left Kyle’s eyes, but he wielded his sword completely defensively. Then he leapt down, and disappeared.
“He wasn’t threatening you was he? Aggressive soldier types are always causing problems. Are you ok?”
Zoe quickly answered, “He did nothing wrong!”
Then things got worse. The Black thorn recruiter flew in his hand on his sword.
“What is going on here? Did I just see you attack a black thorn soldier with giving him a chance to withdraw? He didn’t strike a single blow on you or the child!”
“Yes, but he was putting thoughts in the child’s head.”
At this Guards from both white and black flew up and stood behind the recruiters.
“Like you haven’t! If she truly cares about making a difference she will join the black thorn’s!”
“Really make a difference? Why don’t you tell her what your kind did to her parents!”
Zoe stopped breathing and looked at the black thorn recruiter.
“Your kind murdered them! In their own home!”
“They were housing soldiers! And weapons! These same things would have killed another child’s parents a day after! So they did what was necessary. Not like you can’t tell half the children here why they aren’t living in a home with their parents. Yet instead are living in this Dorm for those that don’t have any where else!”
“Of course not, but I didn’t do it, and she will learn in time to do what is necessary for her people! When she becomes a gold blade. We shall continue this but men take the child back to her room. This is no longer her business.”
One of the guards led her down the steps. She stepped as if she was dead, tears falling from her eyes.
“Why do they fight so harshly for me…”
“Because you are…different”
“What?”
“In this land of Imago the people become powerful through their imagination, the power of their thoughts into reality. When we recruit soldier’s depending on their mental strength their form takes on a more powerful or weaker form. You are incredibly gifted…”
“Why did my parents die…?”
“I cannot tell you more then you have heard…”
Zoe Stopped. “It was for me…you guys wanted me on the straight track in the militia.”
Zoe looked into the guard’s eye’s, and could tell he was distressed.
“I was a lot like you when I was in here, didn’t want anything to do with the war…. now I have ended up killing my own brother, and father on the battlefield.”
“It isn’t the actions you took, but the actions you take that can create a better future.”
“You…are right, but there is no possibility for change. This war will always go on, and if one side wins, the other will be enslaved, and executed.”
“I wish there was…”
“Me too…me too…”
Zoe stepped into her room, and the guard turned to her.
“My name is John, Have a good sleep Zoe.”
Zoe’s eye’s closed yet again. They wandered into another land. Land of imagination, and of hope.

Intro to my new storyline
I was feeling trapped with the story of silwen, and I wanted to try my hand at a new kind of story, that will have a deeper underlying theme. Hopefully this will be an improvement. Please comment and let me know what you think.

Imago: War of the Skies

Introduction
Mankind has always been in awe at the beauty of the clouds. Floating in the sky, surfing on wind currents high above us all. On days these clouds darken, and storms clash in the heavens. Thunder fiercely clashes and rumbles across the landscape. Scientists have explained these phenomenons being caused by electric charge and sound, to precipitation and moisture. However why these events start, what causes a cloud to shift into such a violent state is still unknown. This is because there is something scientists cannot understand. Something beyond their thought, an image they cannot comprehend, deep in the imagination. This is a conflict as ancient as time, and as fierce as our own. This is the war of the lands of Imago. The wars of the sky.
