My eyes grew soar from my hideous surroundings. Greed and Jealousy spread quickly from person to person like a plague. I turn to see something I would never forget, a girl she look a little over 19 selling her self, probably because she had no self worth or maybe was ignored as a child, I will never know. I watched a man beg for money to lazy to work himself making excuses for why he begged, but I could see he did this to himself. I also saw family’s betraying each other for money.
It seemed like money made the world go round now a days.
I wanted to run away from all of this but I knew it lingered in the air like burnt pancakes.
The flowers refused to bloom and the sky was dark. It seem as though there was no light at the end of this tunnel.
But the children were happy unaware that soon they would grow old and be exactly like everyone else. There innocent minds didn’t understand how to betray one another. The worst thing you could do when you were young was to break someone’s sandcastle.
The friendships formed were unique each one. Some friendships collapsed while some stayed strong. I though for a moment best friends would never break apart. They could last through think and thin.
I thought that until my very own best friend betrayed me. That’s when I decided in this world there is only one thing you can ever count on and that it yourself. You are the only one you can control and the only one you can trust in the end. Money may rule the world but it doesn’t have to rule you.
