Hmm, where to start? Well this previous week has been quite unreal in both negative and positive ways.
Well to start off, on...Friday? Yes, last Friday I believe is the correct date, I went over to my friend Caitlyn's( XStarJynxX ) house, where I sprained my ankle on the sidewalk while walking to the Shell Gas station for some munchies. You see, there was a pile of pebbles in the middle of the walk way. Caitlyn, walked on over it, while I, the genius, decided it would be a good idea to jump over them.
Of course I just happened to land with the bottom of my foot facing my opposite ankle. Yes, it was quite a graceful moment (I have them often). I immediately knew something was wrong because I heard a loud pop in my ankle. (I also felt the pop, along with much pain =.=; ) I decided to just walk it off (painfully) and limped to the shellshop, using Caitlyn as a support. (Heh, we joked that the people passing in cars must have thought we were lesbians xDD)
Afterwards we slowly made our way to the neighborhood park and feasted on the snacks we bought at the gas station (which were quite yummy, might I add.) Then after spending the night at her house (good times ^_^) my mom eventually picked me up the next morning (saturday). We never told her mom that I had hurt my ankle because I didn't want to have to go home (lol xD).
While we were in the car I decided to explain to my mom what happened and I showed her my ankle. Of course like any caring parent should do, she drove me to the clinic, where I was x-rayed. They thought at first it was a break because of the extreme swelling, but luckily it was just a sprain. They gave me a velcro wrap (which I don't generally wear, due to the itchiness =_=; ) and got my mom to pay up 25 bucks for crutches (which are not as fun as they look, more of a pain in the a** than anything.)
Then, that night, I stayed up late (to 2 a.m. sunday morning, I would estimate) and then finally dragged myself into bed. At about 4 a.m., I woke up for seemingly no reason and saw extremely bright flashing lights through the curtains. At first, being the a** that I am, I thought it was construction workers and brushed it off annoyedly. But then, after observing the lights for a few moments, I noticed they flashed in a different pattern than usual construction vehicle lights. So, I hauled myself out of bed and limped over to the window to check things out. What I saw was totally unexpected.
Surrounding my neighbors house and twisting all down the streets were rows of firetrucks. I was shocked. I busted out of my room and flew downstairs (as quickly as my gimpi self could) and discovered my parents were already awake. My dad explained to me that the neighbor's attic had caught on fire due to an electrical problem and that my mom was over there, comforting them. I stayed up for a few minutes with my brother, watching the firefighters put out the fire and throw belongings out of the window, so not to fuel the flames. My dad eventually dismissed me to my bedroom, telling me that I looked exhausted. (which I was.)
I ended up sleeping in, and finally woke up at about 12 a.m. Nothing really interesting happened the rest of the day.
On monday I noticed my neighbors were home. I grabbed my crutches and zoomed out barefooted in pajamas to greet their daughter, Ashlyn, who is my age. I hugged her and told her how worried I had been.
She showed me the inside of the house, which seemed to be out of the horror movie. The downstairs area seemed ok, despite the chards of glass from the windows that were busted out, but when we went to the second floor, It was extremely eerie. Everything was black, covered in ash. It smelled horrific and looked even worse. The roof caved in in some spots in Ashlyn's bedroom and strangely the washer and drier were no where to be found. She didn't show me the attic of course, it was too dangerous.
Outside all of the neighbors belongings were piled up where they had been thrown out the windows. I almost cried when Ashlyn showed me a pile of her old baby toys and picked up a decapitated, charred stuffed rabbit, explaining that her boyfriend had given it to her for valentines day. After looking through the remains for a bit longer, I eventually returned home and went to bed.
This morning I woke up and had a relatively good, quiet day. At 7:00 my art tutor that my mom had hired showed up and we had a nice long chat. (Today was only an introduction for him to find out what he should teach me) After showing him some of my work and discussing it with him, we decided to forcus on shading, and proportion, obviously since those are key elements in drawing which I need a little work on. Although I forget his name, I've decided I like the guy. He's pretty nice.
Anyway, after he left I ate some pudding (yum!) and retreated to my room, which brings me to this point. As you can see, my weekend was quite... interesting. I'm actually a bit surprised at the length of this (It's longer than most essays I write for school!! xD), considering I was only planning on writing just a paragraph. sweatdrop Shows how much of a loser I am, especially since it's... 4 a.m.... I doubt anyone will read this whole thing, but if you did, I'm quite impressed. (Leave a comment and suprise me!) Welp, that's about it for now, my thoughts are beginning to become jumbled from the tiredness.
