The world is at its knees begging me to explore the vast open space and the concrete jungle. Who would have thought I had big decisions to make in life? I surely didnt. Until 1 day I loaded up Mass Effect 3. Instead of the gaming point of view I looked at it with the main characters point of view. I became Commander Shepard, I made tough choices, orchestrated events with the few friends I had, and even risked life and limb to find someone, anyone.
Those actions I took made me realize that life really is short and you can only shape life how you see fit. I dove deeper into financial responsibilities and became familiar with what I was studying in school. I gained knowledge. I united my few friends into a whole rather than a diverse group to maintain a stable but flexible friendship. I gained wisdom. Most importantly I opened myself up to the public to find anyone who may be interested in me as a friend or something more. I gained a compatible significant other.
I grew up in my own world where chivalry exists. I am still alienated by the social norm and even physical compassion, But I am sure my new and amazing girlfriend will help me better understand companionship and what life has to offer. We are still new to eachother but we havent found any faults with eachother yet, we've only found common interests and traits.
I am speechless today and just surprised that we became so close so fast. Now we just need to mend the gaps together to live a happy ever after. Words cannot express how joyful I am and how much I love for someone. But I guess I can express through actions and just being myself. If theres anything I want her to know right now, is that I will never stand behind you or infront of you. But always beside you. And when you need me I will always be there to help you from your struggles and strife. And when you are alone I will always be there to support you.
So remember people, life is short, and sometimes you just have to take a chance. I took a chance to meet someone and I did. smile
