Most of my assossiates in the Numenore Guild will remember the sorceress of darkness saga that started quite a few months ago. Much to my dismay, it is still undergoing. Here is the sequence of PMs I got from the boyfriend of the said girl, trying to "punish me" for not having admitted her into the guild, and presumably insulting her: Psydon Menegil Psydon Menegil Psydon Menegil Psydon stare stressed Don't insult sorceress of darkness ever again. She can say whatever she wants to you and you will accept whatever she says. 3nodding Regardless of what she says to you, her respect for Tolkien's work remains and you have no right to insult her. She's not being blatantly ignorant. Kapeesh? stressed stare Oh Eru be merciful... I will put this simple. My Guild. My Rules. She wants to leave, fine by me, It's her decision wether to obey the rules or not. But naming me and my guild lame, and sending me to ****** myself has really made my consideration for her to significantly decrease. And lo and behold, she calls her boyfriend for support! Well. I can see that you are more racional than her, so I will tell you that all that I did was to respond to your girlfriend's insults with a FACT. I insulted her in no way perceptive to my eyes and knowledge. I personally (and nearly every Tolkien scholar that considers himself as such) consider the usage of Grelvish, intencionally or not, to be one of the most serious offenses to Tolkien's works. She was the one offending (seriously offending, I must underline), not me. I merely presented facts. As for that "she can say whatever she wants to you and you will accept whatever she says" part, I'm not a "stand and be insulted" guy. If someone attacks me, verbally or otherwise, I counter-strike. If she is expecting to insult me and not hearing a response, oh she is so wrong. As for the "blatantly ignorant" thing? It is no lie, and no insult either. It's the truth. If she knew better, she wouldn't be insulting Tolkien's works with Grelvish insults that make mine and every Tolkien fan's entrails to swirl around, trying to pop out of the belly.
