Day IV:
Today we got nearly four feet of snow in about three hours. The barn doors of the brood mare's stable have frozen shut several times, and the Druid and I have to keep breaking them open. There are only a few mares left to foal, and they seem to be having trouble. The foals are too valuable to lose, so the Druid and I have to stay in the stables constantly. I'm writing by the light of a single tiny lamp, so my handwriting, which is usually sloppy at best, may be nearly unreadable.
Aside from snow, today something else extraordinary and unwelcome happened. Cherry and Danny....they announced their plans to get married. When Cherry asked me to be the man's man, I agreed, with a forced smile. She smiled back, and I think I could find it in my heart to be happy just because of that smile she gave me.
The grain stores are running low in the lower commons, and several of the peasant's speakers are concerned. Spring is usually when we can start gathering the produce of Nature, but all the fruits and vegtables are buried beneath snow that simply keeps falling. I've heard whispers, rumors, about someone called the Winter King...I know nothing about it, and as far as I'm concerned, it's all just superstition. Sure, the weather is weird, but Spring is just late. Soon the sun will come out and everyone will forget about their silly ideas.

Mostly poetry, no real deep thought. Just a place for momentary bursts of creativity.
