Through out the world there has been a revolution, a religion which has swept the globe converting nearly every man woman and child into believing its lopsided doctrine. The followers of this faith are fanatically dogmatic and are blindly spreading to every corner of the earth. The faith is called Science and their god is Technology. These are they that have turned their backs on the pagan gods of old as well as the God of Creation. Reason became their faith, TV their altar, movies theaters and sports arenas their temples, and every kind of doctorate level scientist is a high priest of this cult. These fanatics are blind to the world that once was, by their obsessive need to rationalize every thing that will not fit into to the realm of science. At one point in history, the Pagan Gods of Old, as well as the belief in The Magic and Daemonic Oppression had been pushed back into near oblivion due to the Saviors of humanity, those that worshiped and served The One and True God. They were known as Believers. The War against the occult was staggering and bloody. The war raged for nearly a millennium. But by the time the inquisition was over and the crusades had finished The Renaissance had begun. The cult of science could now flourish with out any competition. The Believers; that had brought about the end of the tyranny of the Pagan Gods, the Mages witches and Wizards, as well as the Daemonic; now came under the scrutiny of this fledgling belief. Persecution became more intense and the Beleivers converted. Over time, people of all walks of life from all countries and cultures, began to follow this one simple precept. If it cant be proved by Science it can not have happened. Slowly mankind forgot who her savior was. Modern Man disavowed the existence of the pagan gods, the mages, the Daemonic and even those that had delivered them in the first place “The Believers” to ensure that their faith could not be undone. The Believer may have been the last survivor of this Great War but being a Believer without the context of those that oppose the true God soon loose validity. Miracles and great wonders cease, Faith wanes, the ears become itchy and the heart grows weak. Science flourished now that there was nothing to contradict it. Believers soon began to disappear. Slowly those that had been oppressed by the Believers began to come out of hiding under the veil of this new faith. The Pagan Gods began to harness the economy. Mages found a new realm of magic to play with and the Daemonic again tempted mankind due to the lack of True Believers on the planet. As long as they did not contradict this new religion they would be safe. As long as they kept their supernatural presence hidden, Science would reign supreme and the believer would finally once and for all become extinct. But the Pagan Gods became prideful, the Mages became self absorbed and the Daemonic became impatient. They began to expose their true selves, the part of themselves that contradicted this new faith. This is the part that ate away at this Veil that had protected them over the centuries. And this caused the electric shock that revived the dead heart of the Believers. Now the Mages the Daemonic and the Pagan Gods of old are rushing to stamp out this antiquated faith before it consumes them all. Say goodbye to the world you thought you knew. Leave behind the world you once called home. Say Hello to the new world before you. Welcome to Charis…. Welcome to the War!
