The smile on a grandfather’s face
When his granddaughter wins a prize
Here, terror has no place
No destruction, fear, or lies.
But peace is more
Than lack of war.
It’s not the scarcity
Of greed, rage, or depravity.
Peace is the warmth in a grin
The gentleness in a handshake
When a person names the other “Friend”
And a loyal friendship those two make.
When humankind can recognize
All races as a friend
Then we will start to build new ties
And war will meet its end.

Poetry, etc.
Welcome to Poetry, etc., where, as the title implies, I have written some poetry. I hope you enjoy it, or at the very least don't feel the need to spork your eyes out after reading it. And by the way, I do take requests!

And pleasures few
And holed the ship
And drowned the crew.
But o! But o!
How very blue
the sea is."[/size:e72fecd671][/color:e72fecd671][/i:e72fecd671]
