Necessary Evil

I am in shock, here, and I'm about to pop open a hard cider and celebrate. I have faith in this project, and I've felt that we will do well, but I think there's always been a lingering part of me that worried if we could pull it off. Can we sit down and write out an actual novel? I mean, dear gods, how many words is that? Well, I did the research. The "average" for a novel is 80,000 to 120,00 words. The awesome news is that (drum roll) we just hit 80,000! I am in complete bliss. This is really happening. Gods, I really wish Jen were home, we'd go out and laugh a bit together and talk about how unbelievable it is that the project is coming along so well, we'd chat about all our hopes for the books, and our little daydreams of further success.
