YAY! Only like 2 more weeks until Christmas break! I absolutely can't wait, it is my FAVORITE time of year, better than my birthday, better than the last day of school, better than everything! But there is soooo much to get done before hand. In my family we're doing a pollyanna (hope i spelled that right). For those of you who don't know what that is, it is when everyone puts their names in a hat and whoever you pick you get a present for, kinda like Secret Santa. So, I picked Erica, our exchange student, and I have NO CLUE what to get her. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, but anyway. My youth group is already doing a secret santa, but I have that gift taken care of. I also have to get a present for my boyfriend, Matt, but I don't no what to get him either, again, ideas PLEASE. Plus, this weekend, I have oodles of homework, again my fault cuz i procrastinate, and I need to get my room in tip top shape for Santa, just something I do every year, and I'm going to the mall today w/ my mom. Tomorrow, I won't have time to do anything cuz my mom is making us go look at houses like an hour and a half away, so we're gonna be gone ALL DAY, and so I have to get EVERYTHING done today! Hehe, no idea how I'm gonna do it all, sweatdrop . But, even so, I'm really looking forward to Christmas. On Christmas eve, we all get really dressed up and cram into the church for Christmas mass. By the time we get home we are absolutely STARVING, but we have a huge Italian seven-fish Christmas dinner with, you guessed it, seven types of fish. Not to mention these traditional doughnut things which are sugary and awesome, mozzarella cheese and other yummy antipasta (appetizers), and lots of pasta. Once we are thoroughly stuffed, the kids, myself included, go upstairs and change into our pajamas that Mrs. Claus brought to us that morning. Then we come back downstairs, exchange pollyanna gifts, and read Christmas stories by the fireplace. Then we all go to bed and wake up at a ridiculous hour to see what Santa brought us. Dad makes us line up on the stairs before we can go down, and he pretends that Santa didn't come, the goof ball. Anyway, I absolutely can't wait for Christmas and I hope that you all have as wonderful a holiday as I will. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. biggrin blaugh heart
