The SunBird

Out upon an island
In the deep blue sea,
There lives a magnificent bird
Near the island Waikiki.
Friend to air and land
In our world that is so grand,
The SundBird soars the sky
Without a care.

To raise the Sun, day after day
And then send it to bed,
Is the SunBird's duty,
And its life that it has led.
In the morning, colorful and bright,
It greets the dawn, anew.
At dusk it sends the Sun away
As the LunarBird brings out the Moon.

Untimely Repetition

People take time for granted
They think it will always last
But wouldn’t you know
Wouldn’t it show
We’re doomed to forever repeat the past
----
Take Napoleon for example
He invaded Stalingrad with faux pride
Adolf Hitler did the same exact thing
And lost within a moments stride
We’re doomed to repeat the past
----
But if we change
Then so will time
And we might stand a fighting chance
If we continue
Our future will fade
And time as we know it will ever be lanced

The Vixen

Running, you see for the Fox is free,
She’s running away from her captor.

On her feet she’s light and silent as night,
But she’s not going to sing her rapture.

She’s none to shy and extremely sly
You’re not ‘bout to see her crash.

She’s elusive and vain; she’ll drive you insane,
And she’ll talk you out in a flash.
